My first really nice brush set was from Tony and Tina. I still have one of the brushes. It's a big giant blush brush and I spent like $110 on it. I think and like 2001 that was like 13 lol

Hard Candy Liquid was this incredible licorice-scented perfume that was my first Sephora purchase in 2003. Like the nail polishes, it came with a ring on the cap you could wear. I loved that perfume SO much, the closest thing I've ever found to it was Aquolina Pink Sugar. I was so sad when HC Liquid disappeared, same with the GAP Cloud body spray 😢

The OCC neon pink lip cream thingy in Queen was my all-time favorite lip product. RIP OCC ❤

Im in Australia and we had brands called classics, starlet and mode- starlet had been around since the 70s and discontinued probabbly 5-10 years ago, mode vanished about 12 months sgo and classics vsnished about 2 years ago, they were all super cheap brands but had basics like foundation, blush, mascara abd eye liner – the foundation of starlet and classics was liquid foundatkon thst come in like 3 shades of medium beige

Wasn’t Tony and Tina make up made by the same people that did bedhead? I could totally be remembering wrong though because at this point so many brands I’ve liked have vanished.
I miss when you could get hard candy at Sephora

I love that im realizing the only time i comment is when you bring up OCC, but it was less of a failure to keep up with the beauty world and more so Sephora absolutely bankrupting them after cutting a deal with them to intentionally get them out of business.
Sephora is the entire reason for their downfall because when they were regarded as Krylon levels of professional makeup no one had issues understandinf them, but sephoras collaboration and then complete disinformation campaign on how to use the products led to consumer comfusion, while sephora juat absolutely refused to mark them at less than a clearance price upon entry bankrupt them.
Sephora intentionally sabotaged them and the deep dive into it shows just how nasty and bigoted they were for that -
Occ reminds me of Talia Joy Castellano. Those lip tars were her favorite. Talia will always hold a place in my heart. I know she’s flying high.

Tony and Tina was so cool, especially in the Uk although I never ended up buying anything from them. Beauty feels like a different ballgame now
