In the past few days, the name of the artist Aytan Amer returned to the discussion on social networking sites, after the publication of new statements attributed to the late media mother Shimaa Jamal, in which she surprisingly connected her late daughter with the artist, in the context of her talk about the details of the case that occupied public opinion for years.

And Aytan’s response came after hours of meeting the mother of Shimaa Jamal, in which she said that Ayman Hajjaj – the convict in the case – was initially planning to marry Aytan Amer before he withdrew from the idea after meeting her daughter Shimaa. The mother’s statements brought up old details in the case, and caused a lot of speculation, especially because they came at a time when the latest action was being followed, and the new series “Word and Chocolate” is said to be based on the story of the life of Shimaa Jamal.

According to a number of media outlets, Shimaa’s mother pointed out that Hajjaj was “obsessed with the arts”, and that her repeated talk about it was the reason for her concern years ago, confirming that her father’s sudden loss of interest in favor of others was part of the misappreciation that caused her family’s misfortune. With the release of the official poster of the work in cooperation with the company “Al-Adl Jroub”, and the drama began in the show on October 30, 2025. The work clearly showed the features of the psychological and human conflict between the two main characters: Salah and Marwa, whose relationship revolves between love charged with tension and a secret desire for revenge, in the drama series it seeks to approach the truth without bearing the quality of direct authentication.

The creators confirm that the series does not present the biography of any real character, but only the most prominent ones, with the construction of a complete dramatic plot, the feelings of the families and the profound human vision. The series, which is topped by the artist’s lead, along with the star Muhammad Faraj, represents the first drama collaboration between them, and they share a selection of artists, including Maryam Al-Khasht, Murad Makram, Maha Nassar, Safaa Al-Toukhi, Muhammad Suleiman, Amro Mahdi, and Basam Rajab, as well as up-and-comers Yusuf Hasheish and Aiya Selim. It is based on the dramatic treatment written by Muhammad Raja, one of the most prominent writers of social drama in recent years, and directed by Muhammad Jamal Al-Adl “Mandu Al-Adl”, who is known for his ability to create a balance between entertainment and a quiet rhythm that allows the characters to grow in front of the viewer.
