The film will be shown later in Saudi cinema as of December 11, due to expectations of a large audience and competing on the television network.
This step coincides with the launch of the film’s official advertising campaign, including the official television and broadcast announcements via social media, after which artificial intelligence was used to make the fake images in circulation.
In a continuous manner, the initial promotion campaign, despite its success, contributed to the excitement of the movie, while the critics and the public are waiting to see a comprehensive dramatic treatment of the main stages of Um Kulthum’s life, which lasted more than seven decades, during which it was called “the planet of the East”.
The film reflects the artistic and cultural influence on the Arabic scene, focusing on the sound performance and the precise theatrical movement prepared by Mona Zaki to present a living iconic character in front of the camera.
On the other hand, the 22nd edition of the Moroccan International Film Festival will feature 82 films from 31 countries, and the film “Alst” will be shown on the third of December 2025 among the festival’s activities.
