Dr. Karim Zaki, General Secretary of the Syndicate, delivered the Secretary General’s speech on the 2024 / 2025 General Assembly year, emphasizing the appreciation of all the veterinarians who took the trouble to travel to attend the General Assembly, saying: “Veterinarians prove day by day that they are the first line of defense for human health before animals, and continue their work in protecting livestock and the national economy despite the challenges and incapacity of the veterinary and veterinary units”.
Zaki added, during the activities of the General Assembly of the Veterinarian Association, that the continuous demand for the appointment of veterinarians within the relevant sectors, led by the Food Safety Authority and the General Authority for Veterinary Services, are legitimate demands aimed at preventing disability, and achieving Egypt’s 2030 vision to reach self-sufficiency in red meat and dairy products, and address the nutritional deficiency that children suffer from, while addressing common diseases such as the price.
The general secretary explained that the association registered 5980 veterinary doctors during the year, and the treatment committee spent about 2 million and 30 thousand pounds for 928 doctors, while the social committee provided 454 thousand pounds for birth and marriage grants and 859 thousand pounds for social assistance, and 115 thousand pounds were spent on death benefits for 116 members.
He pointed out that the cancer fund of the association only since its inception and until now 4 million and 66 thousand pounds for the benefit of 45 doctors, while the donation from the medical profession union from July 2024 to date reached 6 million and 628 thousand pounds for the benefit of 2218 doctors.
And when it comes to social activities, Zaki said that the association organized 3 trips for its members and their families, besides booking private apartments for 149 doctors, while witnessing the registration of 947 new veterinary clinics, and registering 575 doctors, as well as selling 1749 cattle.

The Secretary General sent a message to the President of the Republic on behalf of the young graduates, saying: We hope to be one of the pillars in the implementation of the strategy of the Egyptian state, and to be a key building block in the construction of the new Republic, by using all scientific and professional abilities to serve the country.
