PlayStation Plus Quietly Adds Ready Or Not Free Trial

PlayStation Plus has sneakily added a new free Game Trial that may be of interest to FPS fans. Every month, PS Plus offers free games to all three of its subscription tiers, while Extra and Premium subscribers have further access to the Game Catalog, which similarly sees new additions each month. Only those with PlayStation Plus Premium have access to Game Trials, though, and a new one has cropped up for a limited time.

Ready or Not has a three-hour, full-game trial available to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, as spotted by a Reddit user. A timed, full-game trial means you have complete access to all of Ready or Not‘s content for three hours, at which point the game must be purchased to continue playing. Ready or Not is a tactical first-person shooter in which you play as a member of a SWAT unit, either alone with AI teammates or with others online. The Ready or Not trial is available now to PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, and expires on February 20, 2026.

PlayStation Plus Game Trials tend to fly under the radar. They’re not as flashy as the full-game additions to the monthly Essential lineup, nor the games added to the Game Catalog. Three hours is not an incredible amount of time to try Ready or Notbut it’s certainly enough to give anyone curious a good idea of what to expect in the full game.

The short time period also has the benefit of not blocking any content – the Game Trial is essentially a very short temporary license to play the full Ready or Not experience. You can try to earn an S rank on some missions, or spend the three hours blitzing through as much content as you can manage.

It Won’t Be Available Forever

Don’t wait to take advantage of it Ready or Not Game Trial if you have any interest. It’s available for just four months, at which point the Game Trial will no longer be available to Premium users. The Ready or Not Game Trial expires on February 20.

Ready or Not has been received quite favorably since launch on PS5 in July of this year (it has been available on PC since 2023). It’s a very hardcore tactical shooter, and may appeal to groups of friends who broadly enjoy PvE co-op shooters. Some players should be forewarned, however, that it deals with sensitive subjects, such as sex trafficking, pornography rings, and mass shootings. Ready or Not‘s Game Trial on PlayStation Plus may be the perfect opportunity to see if the game is for you.
