Attack on Titan may have finished its manga and even brought its controversial ending to theaters, but the franchise isn’t done yet. Between embarking on a new concert tour, and various other projects, Hajime Isayama’s series is taking on a new arena: murder mystery games. Thanks to Studio Ozon, Attack on Titan is getting a murder mystery.
Confirmed via Studio Ozon’s official X account and backed by Kodansha’s Attack on Titan Final Season production committee, the company has begun production on the Attack on Titan Murder Mystery project. The company is fairly established in the murder mystery and tabletop roleplaying scene, so it’s a surprising fit as Attack on Titan takes on bold new directions.
Attack on Titan’s Murder Mystery Is a Surprising Fit
Given the plot of Attack on Titan regularly involved the secrets kept even among normal humans, regardless of whether some harbored secret Titan powers, a murder mystery game could be plenty of fun. It seems to be the season of anime and tabletop collaborations, such as One Piece mixing its Wano Arc with roleplaying and longplay elements.
Studio Ozon has produced multiple other murder mysteries like Death Game Ethics perfect for two players, or Innocence’s Haunted Party where the player must pin their murder on another character successfully. With concepts like Eldians and their Marleyan oppressors, Titans living within the Walls, and a canonical coup d’état catalyzed by murder cover-ups.
There are multiple angles to make an Attack on Titan murder mystery route work, without even just the obvious social deduction elements of an Among Us-scenario type. The franchise may have told its main story, but this is the latest sign that its world still has plenty of experiences to offer.
Attack on Titan Interest Continues to Grow
While Attack on Titan The Movie: The Last Attack definitively brought the anime’s conclusion to big screens, fans are still craving more content to be adapted. The latest update, with the franchise releasing a new one Attack on Titan portal website, certainly suggests they plan on investing heavily in the franchise’s legacy and relaying any new events of the future.
Hajime Isayama has been actively creating new content since Attack on Titan, although his contributions to the AI-driven Soyogi Fractal project have been met with controversy.
While the website’s latest updates include key reveals like the upcoming 4K UHD Blu-ray release of The Last Attack on January 21, 2026, the official anime’s future has remained a major question mark. While it’s undoubtedly nice that an official concert tour and a new murder mystery are coming, the fans are clearly holding out for even bigger things.
