After a 20-year absence, the writer and director, Mark Qadih, returned with a new play called “Local Production” including the first-rate stars, Yusuf Al-Khal and Ammar Shaleq, on the “Al-Elizah” stage in Beirut. The opening was witnessed by a large crowd of politicians, soldiers, artists, critics, the media, and theater lovers.

The aim of the “local production” theater is to discover the best of friendship and the extremes of artistic ambition and choices that may lead to tragedy. The theater pushes us to confront the limits of creativity and humanity, from the depth of our thinking, our philosophy of life, and our principles between the beginning and the humor.
Mark Qadih and Bakhtsar say: “The purpose of all business is to obtain a natural country”.
في حذين صرّح يوسف الخال: “What does Jiri say on the stage, what does he think about it and what does Yusuf al-Khal say.”
As for Ammar Shaleq, he said: “I believe that “local production” is all Lebanese, he sees the mistakes that are happening on the globe and criticizes them, but he can’t reach his voice. And the audience will see friends who disagree, representing the situation of the Lebanese people, and they will wonder between themselves about many of the ideas presented.”
