Dr. Muhammad Al-Mahdi, Professor of Psychiatry at Al-Azhar University, said that a large percentage of people, close to 90%, began to suffer from sleep problems, especially the lack of sleep hours, pointing out that the main reason is the big change in the nature of life, especially during the night.
Professor of psychology at Al-Azhar University, during the episode of the program “رحاة نفسية”, المذاع على قناة الناس, اليوم الوردة: “Zamaan, when the world was in darkness after the evening prayer, people didn’t have anything before they slept, but at that time the streets were bright, the houses were also, and there were 100 thousand things that could be done at night.”
He pointed out that the excess light, especially the blue light emitted from mobile screens, television, and computers, affects the brain, and affects the release of hormones, saying: “The blue light does not leave the retina in the brain during the day, and it stops or reduces the release of important hormones such as growth hormones, and chemicals are not released except during sleep.”
Beware that sleep disorders affect concentration, memory, learning, or work, explaining: “lack of sleep makes a person not able to finish, and not complete his task, because he needs good intellect, concentration, and patience.. And all of it is not available because of sleep and distraction.”
