Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawi, President of the Egyptian Pharmaceutical Authority, held a meeting with the delegation of P&G International under the leadership of Dr. Louie Mu’min, Director of External Relations and Regulatory Affairs for the Gulf, North Africa and the Levant, and in the presence of Dr. Salmy Yehiya, Deputy Director of External Relations and Regulatory Affairs for North Africa and the Levant, in the framework of strengthening cooperation to discuss mechanisms to facilitate the registration and import of pharmaceutical products to ensure the effectiveness of their development in the Egyptian market.
During the meeting, Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawi confirmed that the Authority pays great attention to strengthening cooperation with leading international companies, and working to find practical solutions to existing challenges, ensuring the continued availability of vital pharmaceuticals, pointing out that the Authority works according to an integrated vision aimed at supporting pharmaceutical investment and meeting the needs of the Egyptian patient.
On the other hand, the delegation of the P&G company is in recognition of the efforts of the Egyptian medical authority in the preparation of the regulatory framework for the investment and the facilitation of registration and trading procedures, confirming the company’s desire to enhance its presence in the Egyptian market, and to contribute to the provision of high-quality pharmaceuticals that meet the needs of patients and support the state’s attention towards achieving drug security.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Hanan Amin, Head of the Central Administration of Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Amani Joudt, Assistant Head of the Authority and Supervisor of the Central Administration of the Office of the Head of the Authority, Dr. Assama Hatem, Assistant Head of the Authority for Policies and International Cooperation and Supervisor of the Central Administration for Pharmaceutical Policies and Market Support, Dr. Hamada Jamal, Head of the Authority for Modernization and Development of Medical Products Systems and General Manager of the General Administration for Registration of Human Products at the Central Administration of Pharmaceuticals, and Dr. Hussam Abdel Allah, the assistant head of the authority for market support and follow-up and the general manager of the general administration for market support and continuity of work, Dr.
This comes within the framework of the Egyptian pharmaceutical authority’s strategic focus on developing effective partnerships with international pharmaceutical companies, contributing to national pharmaceutical security, meeting the needs of patients, and strengthening Egypt’s position as a regional center for pharmaceutical industry and distribution.
