The media Ahmed Musa confirmed that the Al-Sweis channel will be the most important navigational corridor in the world, because of the role played by Egypt in the service of the international trade movement for more than a century and a half.

Musa referred to the accident of the ship İfar Jifan four years ago, explaining that the whole world stopped for only 6 days, despite the estimates that expected the stoppage for several months, stating “They said it would be 3 months, but we finished it in 6 days only, and it was a pure Egyptian achievement”.
The media applauded the new infrastructure that helped strengthen the course of the Suez Canal, saying: “Today’s situation is better than the past in the Red Sea, and despite the hardships the world is witnessing, everyone knows that there is no legitimate or alternative route that can replace the Suez Canal.”
He confirmed that the channel will remain the cheapest and most efficient route for international trade, and that the rate of passage of commercial ships will return to its previous level soon. And he mentioned that the Houthi militia had a direct impact on the traffic of the channel of Al-Sweis, explaining: “Our navigation was more affected than Israel, because they threatened the ships that came to the country.”
