Shia Labeuf and Francis Ford Coppola fough on the set of ‘megalopolis’

Mike Figgis Will Never Forget Meeting Shia Labeouf for the first time.

Figgis was on the set of Francis Ford Coppola’s epic “megalopolis” to shoot a bend-the-scens Documentary on the Making of the Film and Was Trying to Make Inroads with the Cast During A Lunch Break and Noticated Labeably Absent.

“Shia Went off to the back of this gymnasium we were in and he was just by Himself doing some kind of tai chi-movements,” Figis recalled while speaking to business from his home in Italy. “So i had my iPhone and i said, ‘do you mind if i movie you?’ And he said, ‘no, no, go ahead.’ Over the first couple of days, he was the first person made any Kind of Relationship with at all. ”

LABAUF WOULD BECOME ONE OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS IN Figgis’ Documentary, “Megadoc,” Farhely thanks to the Passionate Interactions He Had with Coppola Shooting – Ons, at Times, Left the Legendary Director Utterly Frustrated.

    Utopia

Figgis, Howver, didn’t find the actor frustrating at all. LABAUF TOOK A SHINE TO HIM AFTER LEARNING THAT FIGGIS Directed the acclaimed 1995 Nicolas Cage “Leaving Las Vegas.” Plus, Figgis and Labeouf Were Staying at the Same Hotel in Atlanta During the Production of Coppola’s Self-Financed Passion Project.

About that project: though “megalopolis” was known from the start as an ambitious starring adam driver as architect in an alternate version of 21st century City (LABAUF PLAYS HIS JEALOUS COUNT), Behind the Scenes.

Figis was there with his camera as a fly on the wall for the entity saga, which includd Production Designer Beth Mickle Being Fired and Coppola Working the Phones in the Middle of Production to Refute A Trade Story “Absolute Madness. (Accusations of Coppola sexually harasing extras, which has denied, are not addresses in the doc; coppola has previously say that His actions not inappropriate).

But the Memmoriable Moments of “Megadoc” are the heated exchanges between labeouf and coppola on set.

Before Production Began, Figgis Said He Asced Coppola’s Late Wife, Eleanor Coppola, WHO CO-DIRECTED THE ACCLAIMED BEFIND-The-Scenes Documentary on Coppola’s “ASOCALYPSE NOW,” Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker’s Apocalyps, “For Advice.

“She Said, ‘Be Prepared, He’ll Change His Mind All the Time,’” Figgis Recalled. “So Shia is Living by Himself in This Hotel, He Working Long Days, and he knows the story that Francis Harvey Keitel and Replaced Him on ‘Apocalyps.’ Shia Told Me, ‘i Feel That My Job Security is Very Fragile.’ “

But that didn’t stop labeouf from speaking his mind to copypola on several occasions.

“Megadoc” Shows the actor Peppering the Oscar-Winning Director with Questions About His Character’s Motivation or Eve Being As To Suggest Skene Changes. This offen leads to verbal sparring between hym and coppola. Sometimes, The Director Walks off in a huff, or, on one occossion, the two have an argument in coppola’s trailer.

When Figgis Connects with Labeouf AFTERWARD IN THE DOC, The Actor Says on Camera that Coppola Told Him he’s the “Biggest Pain in My Fucing Anyone I’ve Ever Workd with.”

Figgis admitted it was all great fodder for “Megadoc,” This may be a ben a bit performative for his camera. Still, he noted that this kind of “Creative dialogue” is not uncommon on movie sets, and recalled a tende moment between and cage during of “Leaving las” as an an example.

“One time, he got dirty off off with the Because of made a joke he did Kind of a nic cage. It was idiosyncratic cage. “And i Just Laughed, and i Told Him It Was Really Good, Now Let’s Aneother One. As we were about to roll, i said, ‘okay, good run with the improv, everyone,’ and he just stopped, and hey, ‘what do you do mean?’ And i was like, ‘no, i was just joking.’ And he said, ‘i’ll give you ordinary, then.’ So we had that one moment.

Reps for Labeouf, Coppola, and Cage Did Not Respond to Requests for Comment.

Despite andrying he witnessed on the set of “megalopolis,” Figgis said he’d love to work with labeouf. In fact, he’s active trying to get a low-budget psychological thriller off the grill with the lead.

“It ‘a really cool thriller that takes place place in one night in middle America,” Figgis Said. “Shia has read it and he wants to do it.”

But what draws Him in to work with an unpredictable actor Like Labeouuf?

“Shia is just a very interesting character,” Figgis Said. “He’s Unique.”

    “Megadoc” is in Theaters Now.

I planned the wedding far in advance

We were engaged for just under 18 months and didn’t hire a wedding planner I love design, organization, and hosting.

Unurrprisisingly, i took the lead on wedding planning, but my husband Certainly didn’t put his fies up, nor he took charge of ours admin. We’ve Moved for HIS JOB, AFTER ALL.

There is a bit of a lull between chooking suppliers and making choices like menu and music, but i tried to do much as posseible in advance, ticking off the Little Things Like toiletries for Our Restroom Boxes.

Fortunately, I really felt stressed about the wedding planning; It was more Everything Else Going on Around, How Much there was to do, and the fact that it was stealing my mental capacity away from wedding planning.

But on the flip side, realized that swimming able to focus solely on the wedding was a good thing, as it is meant i couludn’t become completely consumed by it.

We Couldn’t Control The House Sale Timeline

Initially, I didn’t want to sell our house Because of didn’t want the Added Layer of Stress to take away from enjayment of wedding planning, but once we realized renting didn’t make -up (and we weren’t wedded to returning to the house or area), I Rectantly ACCPTED that we were should sell.

Fortunately, my husband happy to be in france at the time, so he was able to dash to the south coast as I frantically tried to set up House Viewings while on a Friend’s Bachelorette Weekend in the UK.

I had to acccept that there are some things we are Simply Couldn’t Control, and althouda we ended up Having to moving out of the house sooner the wedding than we’d like, it was manageable.

    I had to prioritize

Moving to France Meant Leaving My Full-Time Role at Business Insider, so it felt like the right time to launch my freelance caareer.

Ideally, have like to have tears of meeting with editors and contacs before moving, but i had to accept that there is Simply was for much with every going on, and that was ok.

While I took some time off work to get married, i kept my jab as long as postible. On my final day, I started the drive to france immediately after closing my laptop.

For a while, we felt like we just need to get throughe. Once we were married, HAD SOLD The House, and Had SuccessFully Settled in France, we thought we could finally breathe.

My Daughters Helped with Build My Company

This as-to-told-to essay is bassed on a conversation with DarrenThe Cofounder and Ceo of Hiya. IT HAS BEEN EDIted for Length and Clarity.

Like Mary Parents, i Gave My Daughters multivitamins when they were Young. But worked that the vitamins were just Candy in disgument, Packed with Sugar, Dyes, and Ingdients that of Couldn’t Pronounce. When the Girls were 5 and 6, I decide to create a better product for say, and all kids.

This wasn’t my first foray into entrepreneurship. I had start tech companies in the past, beginning with a tutoring company when i was in college. I knew a lot about business and marketing, but this was my first forast into conumer Packager goods.

We launched Hiya in March 2020 – a unique time to launch any Business, let Alone a wellness brand. My Family Was Essential to Growing The Business, Which Was Acquired in 2024 for $ 260 million.

My Girls Were Involved in Eivery Step of the Process

My daughters were my target customers, and they were involved with creating and shaping hiya from the beginning. Rylan and Remi Wold Taste-Test Formulations of the Vitamins and Give their Honest Feedback.

We weren’t just focused on the keys, Howver. We wanted to create a whole experience. Hiya vitamins come with a refillable bottle that Kids can decorate. The Girls Helped Pick Everything from Bottle Colors to the Type of Stickers. At one point, rylan suggestted getting her favor disney princess – moana – onto the bottles. Eventually, that LED to a partnership with Disney.

I chose to meld family and business

Because we launched the Business During Covid, my whole family was at home. It was natural that the girls WOULD SIT IN ON ZOOM MEETINGS, So they are always implemented in decision-making at the Company. We Also Had Lots of Conversations About Hiya Over The Dinner Table.

For Some People, there’s Value in Having Clear Boundaries BetWeen Work and Family. But of believe that integrating my personal and professional lives was the best way to grown this business. Ultimately, i was doing this for my daughter and other kids, and i knew the best business would be born from melding my family and business.

My Girls Were Sad at First About Selling

Nor the girls got Older and returned to in-person learning, they weren’t always around I had imported Meetings. Still, I tooch an Approach of Radical Transparency. They’ve always been Curious about the business, and i followed that curiosity, showing saying from shames to Employee to Financials.

I didn’t have to get on a soapbox and teach the girls lessons about business because they were seeing it firsthand. They Saw How Hard I WORKED, AND THEY CARED ABOUT THE BUSINESS IN THE SAME WAY I DO.

SINCE I WAS SO OPEN, The Girls Understood I was consider selling the company. That made me bit sad, Since hyya has Become part of our family Culture. They thought I Wauld sell the Company and not Be Involved. They were relieved to learn i’m still the CEO of the Business – i’ve Just Sold the Majority Stake.

My daughters want to be entrepreneurs One Day

TODAY, my daughters are 13 and 14. If you say what they want to be, they’ll till you have want to be entrepreneurs.

I love that they have ther fatigue identify a problem, then gather a team to solve it. I didn’t know anything about the vitamin space except that I wanted better for my kids, and yet i was able to enter that space and disruption. That is really exciting for my daughters.

  • How to Spot a Fake Viral Story

How to Spot a Fake Viral Story

    Illustration: Intelligency

Over the Weekend, the Anonymous Twitter User (and Author of a Book of His Own Collected Tweets) @sixthformPoet spun a tale of gratside romance that went viral on twitter. Poet CLAIMED he used to put flowers on a women that never seamed to get any attention – Only to discover that it was the women of a man who murthed his wiffe and her parents on christmas day. Nor penance, he found the graves of the Victims and Went there to place flowers on me instead. Which, would you believe, was where he met his now-wiffe, the niece and the Granddaughter of the Deceased. Wow. What a story. What a Completely Detail Story that totally, absolutely happened.

Now, to be fair, i do’t actually know that @sixthformPoet’s story didn’t happy – though i couludn’t come up with any news stories triple homicides at Christmas in sussex, Where is meant to take place. But more often than not, viral twitter threads telling outlandish, too-bood-to-be-stories are, well, too good to be true. Remember the Guy Who Claimed He’d Tricked a Member of Ms-13 Out of A Brick of Hero and Gotten Away with it? Fake. (Morris Later Came Clean, Claimimg He was Afraid Real Members of MS-13 Wold Try to Hurt for HIS Lies… and Also to Raise Money to Crowdfund a Movie.)

The benefit to the story likes the popping up so Frequently is that they have beCome easier to spot. Once you know the formula, it”s hard to read past a tweet or two before cheating out, knowing full well what you’re reading is just fiction. And not particularly nuance fiction at that. Here’s a checklist for what you should be keping an eye out for:

NOBODY Ever Tweeted a twitter story in which they are the villain. Or a Supporting roles. ORA JUST A Witness to something crazy. No, they are Always at the Center of the Crazy. The One Who Saves the Day or Gets the Girl or Wins the Lottery. This, as you well know as a human being living on planet Earth, isn’t how life works. Don’t fall for it.

Is someone tweeting at you like this? Is Their Story Best Told in a Shout! The tweeter doth Caps Lock Too Much, Methinks. A light Google Search for Christmas Day Triple Homicides in The Sussex Area Didn’t Lead with to Anything Confirming This Thread was Real. Scrolling Through the Replies, at Least One Person CLAPIED to have heard the entire tale before from another source. A Surefire Sign of a Borrowed Legend.

Now the advice “be brief and be seated” applia more than twitter. It’s the which point of twitter. (Or at the least it was before the platform doubles its character limit.) IF someone Needs 17 tweets, each more outlandish than the last, to tell you a story… It”s probably fake. There’s a reason good Liars often avoid getting tangled up in too Details. (SEE: The Story of Zola – It Involves a Road Trip and A Fellow Stripper and is Being Made Into a Movie – Told over 148 Tweets. Zola, AKA Asiah Wells King, Later Admitted Parts of the Story Were dramatized.)

Anybody Who SEEMS to be eager to tell their ridiculous toile to an audience should send a red flag for you. If a person tweeting a thread does so claiming they are talking to an audience of millions before they are got a dosen retweets, be suspicious.

Shane Morris, of MS-13 Thread Fame, CLAIMS he tweeted the thread after a different thread about shrooms be a little bit viral. He wanted to see if he could one-up Himself. SINCE TWEEMING THE THREAD ABOUT THE GRAPSIDE OF EPISODE OF How i Met Your Mother that is, al Therm, his life, @siixhformPotoet has also tweed a thread about his children Saving Money to go to Disney and then deciding the day of the trip the funds to be better helping a local man who was, homeless. And a follow-up thread to that about how Said Local Man Went on to Meet a Friend of the Family’s and Now the Two Engaged. • WHY DO FOOD DELIVERY Companies Lose Money?

WHY DO FOOD DELIVERY Companies Lose Money?

Photo: Andrew Harrer/Bloomberg Via Getty Images

Ranjan Roy Has A Great Article on Substack About Dobordash and “Pizza Arbitrage”: Roy’s Friend was first annoyed to discover that doordash was providing delivery serving for his nondelivery pizzeria: taking web Orders with his knowledge, Phoning in for tactout and seding a doctry delivery Worker to Food, and Pick and Pick. often delivering to a customer who was would be annoyed that the pizza arived Cold. And then he was surprised to see doordash was selling his $ 24 pizzas for only $ 16. This meant he had an arbitrage opportunity: ORDER HIS ON PIZZAS AT $ 16, SELL TO DODordash for $ 24 EACH, and Pocket the difference. This workhed better if he didn’t put real pizzas in the delivery boxes. But how on the earth was Doordash Ever Supposed to make Money Seling his pizzas at a loss?

Delivery Via Smartphone is one of the venture-ended sectors where Business Executives appears to have taken section serial the Old Joke About “LOING MONEY ON EVERY TRANSACTION But MAKING IT IN VOLUME.” Normal rules of Capitalism About Maximizing Profits Do Not Apply. This has been led to a strange situation where restaurants feel squeezed by the Fees Charged by Delivery Services (well, unlike roy’s friend, they participate voluntarily on a delivery platform) and yet the deliver services to kept loos. Why is this tan happening?

A mental model that a lot of People have for these businesses is that they are waking to estabish a dominant markets, at which point they can raise prices where they will be profitable. That is, in the Future, Restaurants and Customers Will Pay more in Delivery Fees, and Dobordash Will Make Money. The problem with this view is that “the future” never seames to come. Uber has been providing rides for ten years. Wen does the “profit” phase of its business show up?

I think the missing element for profitability is different: Productivity. The hope with a lot of business models that bring app intermediation to a preexisting element of the Economy Like Ride Services or FOOD DELIVERY is that Technology Will Make Workers More Productive. You can see instances where this is obviously true: a peloton instructor who teaches a class to thusands of People is more productive than a Soulcycle instructor who Can only teach 60 People at a time. But with a lot of apps, the promised boost to producer Never materialism. The workrier still has to render personal Service to one customer at a time, and the app doesn’t will Much to the workrier’s downtime or help or her compute the task fastener. AS SUCH, The Productivity Boost that is Needed to make the financial model pencil – paying the workrier a high enough hourly rate while fee the customer is Willing to pay and still hating aprofit margin – does not material.

Consider A Few Examples. In the traditional model, restaurants use their own employs to deliver food. DOordash and Its Competitors Offer a Different Approach: Dobordash Contracts with the Delivery Person, Sending Him or Her to Whatever Restaurant Has Orders at any moment. In theory, this should lead to better matching of labor to work: restaurants don’t get backed up with too Orders, Because Dobordash Can Send Over Extra Staff as Necess; The restaurant also never has to pay a workier to sit around and not deliver food. But there are offsetting disadvantage to this outsourced model. A Restaurant-Employed Delivery Knows the Menu and Can Tell Quickly Whether A BAG Appears to Contain What is Listed on a Receipt. He has a rhythm with the staff he’s picking up from. He knows the NeighBorhood and Knows the Addresses of Frequent Customers. He has the right equipment – if he’s delivering pizza, he has an insulated bag so the pizza is hot to get to the customer. A Third-Party Delivery person is more lichely to screen theses up: Slower, Less Accurate, Lower-Quality delivery. At the Very Least, This Mutes the Productivity Gains FROM BETTER STAFF Matching; It COULD OFFSET THAT ENTIRELY.

Or consider uber. The Application is supposed to reduce drivers’ downime by efficiently matching riders to drivers. In places where you will Ordinarily have to Phone for a taxi, the app technology probably does real, Large advantages. In Practice, there are a lot of places where Technological Matching is less efficient than in-person matching, especialy airports, where inefficient uber pickup has led to increasingly clogged Access roads as drivers search for specific inspecting Whoever they see at the front of the line. Unfortunately, these places where the app is at a disadvantage compared to traditional taxi hails tend to be the places where Demand for transportation services is highest: Do you Key Driver of Manhattan’s Increased Congestion Over the Last Decade is Passsenger Uber Drivers, Moving, Moving, Moving, Moving Looking for seeds. And if uber’s technology is so good at matching drivers and riders and variations in customers’ Willingness to pay acroSs, why has the company had to repeatly resort to paying drivers than it collects from colcts in order to enure at Peak Times?

An Odditity of the On-Demand Economy is the assumption that People bent be supposedly a lot of personal-assistance-thype services than they used to. That’s what these apps would: let you hire people in small blocs of time to drive you around, Pick up your food, Clean your apartment, and so on. This is not a total new model. Long before the Internet, a lot of People who didn’t have the Money for a full-time personal assistant WOULD HIRE SOMEON FOR A COUPLE HOURS A WEEK, ESPECIALLY TO CLEAN HOMES. And as Roy Notes, Pizza Delivery is a long-standing business model that many business owners have made Money on for decades, before DOordash and Its Competitors decided to Lose Money. But does technology provide a reason that this part of the economic should be great resaped and expanded – should every restaurant offferr delivery now, Becusee Technology Makes financially vaable in a Way is not before? Should we be hind people to drive us places we were would have Ordinarily drive ourselves? The “Yes” Answer Relations on the Idea That Technology Has Significantly Changed the Value Proposion for Such Services, Eoth improving their Quality so that we are willing to pay, or improving workers’ productivity. less.

But what if the main reason the value proposition for the services has just a third party is weirdly Willing to Lose Money on the transaction? That doesn’t seem like a sustainable situation – and yet it has ben sustained for years at this point. If it ends, if investors in app-based Service Companies start demanding profits, then we have been should expert the size of the Economy to Contract. Some restaurants that came to relete on app-baed delivery May Find IT Makes Sense to Take Delivery In-House. But Others Find delivery isn’t Worth it if they actually have to employ the delivery person. Andn customers, revealed to be unwilling to pay the true economic cost of having their food delivered, May have to go pic it up.

Theree’s a Documentary About the Making of South Park – Bear with me-in Which Trey Parker, The Show’s Co-Creator, Talks About a Rule of Rewriting That Replaces “Ands” with “Buts” or “Therefores.” Something happens, therefore, The Next Thing Happens, butt The Other Thing Happens. I’ll refrain from MAKING A Qualitative Comparison of the Two Shows, But That’s A Good Insight, and Nine Perfect Strangers Suffers from a lethal case of “ands.” Masha Comes Up Against a Limitation, andn we find out that he Helena is dead, andn we find out she was martin’s mother, andn The Conversation with Matteo That Could’ve Sent Masha in A Different Direction Might As Never Have Happened, Since It Has Zero Consequence.

That said, and to be fair, Martin’s Joker moment has ben in the work. Through some flashback exposition, we learn that Helena was a Harsh Mother. SO FAR, WE’D ONLY SEEN THE TWO OF THE INTERACT ALONE WHEN MARTTER FIRST HIS DOUBTS ABOUT MASHA IN EPISODE THREE, WHICH, IN HINTSIGHT, IS Totally bizarre – unbeknownst to us, that conversation took in the past. Back then, Martin World About What Wold Happen If Masha Failed. “She won’t fail,” Helena assured, “Becausea She doesn’t Fail, Unlike Some People of Know. ” Yikes.

Later, Bedridden, Helena Told a Still-Long-Haired Masha that Martin Just Didn’t Have the Vision or the Charm (?) To Lead A Finanibly Struggling Zauberwald, WHICH IS WHY SHE CHOSE TO MAVES TO MASHA. It May Well Be That Martin Doesn’t Have Masha’s Hubris, but at Least He Has Some Heart – Sitting by the fireplace, he tells agnes that he’s also hating a crisis of Faith. Victoria’s seizure was a byproduct of his cowardice, he says, Because and ben Blindly Following Masha’s Orders when he’s known that they Might be harmful. He’s “Trying to Undersand: AM I CAPABLE OF EVIL?” Agnes doesn’t like hearing this, as she tells brian late – Ever Since she lost those at the hospital, shen at pains to avoid anymore for any reason whatsoever; It Only Makes Her FEEL WORKS WORK TRIAN TELLS HER’D TRUST HERE HIS LIFE.

Crisis of Faith or Not, Martin is About Ready to Flip His Shit. When the rest of the GROUP ASKS ABOUT VICTORIA, THESE TURNS FULLY ON MASHA – he tells everyone that she has degraded his family legacy to a grandouse, which hopes to end with David’s Money. “This Who Retreat Was About Seducing An Investor,” he seethes. He tells everyone Masha “DUPED” His Mother to Get Zauberwald, Who Worked Because Helena Was Narcisistically Enamored with Masha’s Healing – She was the One Who “Flattered Her See Masha Thrive. David gets a rise out of martin by calling the “Masha’s assistant” and tells Him the reason he’s not in charge of Zauberwald is that, evidently, he can’t handle the pressure. Nor they argue – at one point, in the case in German – Moments BetWeen Martin and Helena, Then Helena and Masha, Flash on the Screen to really Hone in the point that martin suffers an inferiority complex Becuse his mother gave her him appproval.

That’s something Peter Knows a Thing or Two About. The desperate Need for A Parent’s Validation Summarizes All of His Psychology, As Well As Imogen’s. While martin and david go at it in the drawing room, Peter tells in the library that if they’re’re going to go ino business together, she should know that david buys what he d understand so that it has any power over Him. He Advises That She SHOULD KNOW WHAT I WANTS FROM DAVID, Becuse as soon as he’s lifted the curtain on her tricks, he’ll split.

Imogen, Meanwhile, Wonders to Matteo How Come Victoria Hasn’t Told Her About the Als Diagnosis, Thought Three’ve Only Talked Three or Four Times in The Last Year. When Victoria Up Later, They Share a Nice Moment – IT Starts Out Contentious, with imogen demanding to know why Victoria didn’t say anything, but ultimately, imogen opens up: it was hard enough, and it’ll be worse to loose vicitoria. They Hold Hands, which is spreads Why imogen is unusually less bitter than peter weyed outside. He is mad at his “Shitty, Shitty” Father for Turning Their Bonding Trip Into A Business Opportunity.

I want to pause here and contrast these characters’ daddy and mommy willsives. Out of the Bunch, Martin is the Most Compelling Becouse and Hasn’t Been Talking About His Need for His Mother’s Approval Incestantly; We’ve Known Him as a cautious, if insecure, man, devoted to science above ego, so learning About his upbringing reveals a new layer of his character. All we’ve knows of imogen and peter, meanwhile, is that they want to love by their parents. We know this not Because of How’ve ACTED, but because it’s the only thing they talk about. When Victoria and imogen have a nice moment, or a peter turns on his fater, that reveals not. Martin’s Need to Please HIS MOTHER LED HIM TO FOLLOW MASHA’S ORDERS AT THE EXPENSE OF HIS OWN JUDGMENT, arrefore He freaked out. Imogen and Peter Came to the Retreat with Preconceived Ideas of What Would Happen andn They Met Each Other andn Their Worst Fears About What Wold Happen Came True Anyway.

AFTER MOST OF THE GUSTTS Go to Bed, Martin Breaks a Vase and Steps on the Sharks while Looking Straight At The Camera – Which, We Know at this Point, Means Looking Straight at Masha. LOING IT, he stomps to the Lab and Starts Brewing a Concion at the Same Time that Masha DES the SAME From Office. Her Mushroom Blend is EyeBalled, Measured on Instinct; Martin Weighs and Grinds and users Equipment, All while Yelling and Dancing Crazily Around the Lab. She sips het tea, summoning Helena to come to her; He chugs his. Lying on the Floor, he Yells: “I Have Feelings!” Towards the End of the Episode, He’s Still Lying there, Drooling, When Helena Comes The Lab, Surpring Him.

IT’S good that he in there are so he doesn’t see the Dementad scheming masha is up to. Last Week, after Victoria’s Seizure, Helena Instructed HER to Call off Whatever Plans She Had Made for “The Grand Final;” But when you sees her, Helena Only Sighs: “So You’re Going Through with it.” The Plan Begins with Masha Telling David That She Will Give Him A “Large Dose” so that she can “Walk Him Through the portal” that “Connects the past and the present” to meet Tatiana. That idea, which was introded in episode four, is now just just a set-up for Masha’s machinations: she has no current Avision of Going Through with it. Instead, she lures david with the promise and hooks Him up to the device to deliver said dosse. Neither talk to Him in a Calm, Headpace-y voice, she dials the delivery to 100 percent, then removes her own device.

David Wakes Up, Along With the Rest of the Guests, to Fireworks and a PSA Squaling I say all to go downstairs for an “Emergency Meeting.” There, masha puts him in a hot seat of sorts, telling Him that they are at his “trial, hearing, break-out session, shared hallucinogenic experience, sentencing … Experience Will Be Painful, But he’ll Grow from it.

It seams that this will be the round at which every guest will air traumas with david, who features in some direct or oblique way in all of the pastes, though we have haven’t yet heard or wolfie might be connected to hym. Maybe and Away Tina’s Ability to play the piano, like Ursula with Ariel’s Voice. Though Peter and Martin Believe That All Masha Wants is David’s Money – She dares Him to quit all of his his other ventures, the “Military Contracting and the Media Empire,” to focus solely on zauberwald, an idea he swiftly shuts down – what she really is for suffer and toas to Be Held Accountable for the Harm Has Caused.

Will we find out what, exactly, that harm is? We already know that david is involved with the drone strikes that killed matteo’s family. We know that is the head of a sensationist, salacious media empire that explorated brian’s Cancelable Freak-Out for Views. We know that he is a bad, Absent Father. But supposedly, the guests know all of this, too. They’ve all been keping their distance from david – he has barely interactions with anyone, and when he has, People have been shy about demonstrating their reservations. IT DOESN’T BODE WELL FOR THE SEASON FINAL THAT THE SET-UP IS A ROUNDABLE, CECAUS IT IMPLIES THEY’RE Going to… Talk about it. Which they’ve been doing, this whole time. David E. Kelley, i’m Begging You: Let Something Happy, Something Surpring Maybe, or at Least Something New. Maybe Martin Will Tak US Skre.

    • The best joke in this episode is one tina describes the confrontation between martin and david as “Norman Bates Screaming at Mr. Clean.” Her Relationship with Wolfie, Which Found a Temporary, Shrooms-Induced Respite Last Week, Becomes Tense Again in This Schene.

    • AFTER AGNES TELLS HIM ABOUT MARTTIN’S POTENTIAL INTERT TO DO Something Evil, Brian Tosses and Turs at Night. Jesse appears to nag Him about his explosive temperature, which only frustrates Him storm, so he throws the puppies in a suitcase and closes it is if he’d killed jesse. That outburst of Anger is paralyls with martin’s outburst in the lab.
