The Method: Zepbound, 10 milligrams, though i were off of it in april gcause i had more side effects at the higher dosse. I’m not really comfortable being on any Medication for life, so i’m doing a trial to see i can be ok on my own.
The Goal: I Never Had a Goal Weight. But i had some underlying Health Concerns that were starting to affect my day-to-day life. I WANTED TO HAVE THE ENERGY TO LIVE THE LIFE I WANT TO LIVE.
Progress Report: I’ve Lost Around 60 pounds, but i was community to doing it in a really healthy, gradual Way. I have more Energy, and I feel like my brain changed the moment of the shot IT’S BROKEN MY FOOD ADDICTION. I feel more energy. Mythical brain Feels Better. I’m Moving Better, Breating Better, i’m Thinking Better. I Feel More Awake. I Feel Happy.
Food Noise Volume: My Food Noise was crippling – it would have brokens the scale. I waist tale addicted to salts and additives in processing foods. When i was on zepbound, my food noise volume went down to a 1. Be get up, i Now Feel Much More Rested, Like I Actually Fully SLEPT.I Think I Did Sleep More Before Starting Zepbound, But I Feel Like I’M Betting Better Sleep Because of Wake Up More Energized and Ready to Conquer the Day. I used to wake up with so Much anxiety. It was almost like the medication had an antianxiety property to it. And being I was off of it, the anxiety came back a little bit.
FIRST BITES
I used to get out of bed Slowly, and offten i would fast unil noon. SOMEST I WOULD ORDER STARBUCKS – BUTTERED CROISSANT AND A Pink drink – But otherwise of Waled Wait Unel Lunch and Oder something massively.
I Now Start My Day With A High-Protein, High-Fiber Breakfast, Like a Chobani Yogurt with Chia Seeds and Berries. Now that I’m Not Getting Into Starvation Mode in the Middle of the Day, I feel like more energy.

Obiviously, Its Easier. But honestly, i love the way i look before starting this medical. I HAD ALREADY MOVED INTO THIS POINT OF SELF-ACCEPTANCE AND LOVE. SO, I FELT REALLY BEAUTIPHUL THRAGHOUT THIS ENTIRE PROCESS FROM BEGINNING TO END. But if i had Had not gotten to that level of grown, i would always have been disappointed. If you’re not confident in yourelf, you will always find something to nitpick. Becusee i’d already grown past that, i was freed from that anxiety of looking in the Mirror and Thinking, Oh my God,’m not where to be to be, Becuses there was now i wanted to be, in terms of looks.
SO Getting Dressed and Getting Ready Stayed The Same; IT JUST BECAME EASIER TO SHOP. I Went from Being Just Above Straight Sizing: A 12 or 14 at My Highest (Weight), WHICH YOU WAUDED THINK WAUDED BE PRETY ACCESSIBLE. But especally be shopping contemporary brands, a size 10 or 12 often runs small. When I was planning my wedding, it was hard to find outfits that were elevated. FAST FASHION WAS ACTUALLY SO EASY, But Finding Something From A Nice Brand Was Harder.
Now, it’s nice to walk into a store and buy something off the rack. But it’s Also Made with A Lot Angrier. IT’S REALLY CRAZY How People Treat You Better (and) Are Nicer to You, and Some Opportunities Come Up JUST YOU’RE IN A DIFFERENT BODY. I think everyone is Worthy of Human Decency and Accessibility at ANY SIZE. There are any different Basels of what a healthy body can look like, and offend it not the leanest, skinniest person in the room.

During the day, I work eather in a bridal boutique or film Content or going to an event. For lunch, i’ll offten a turkey sandwich. Or’ll Order – ORDERING WILL ALWAYS BE PART OF MY LIFE, JUST FOR THE Convenience – A Sweetgreen Salad. I like to build my own, with kale and chicken. I ALSO LOVE Their New Avocado Oil Air-Fried French Fries. I avoid traditionally Fried Foods Because they have Make the Side Effects of Taking Zepbound Worse. Or’ll have soup; I’m a Big Soup Girl. But Generally, i’m trying to hit 20 to 30 grams of protein at lunch, plus lots of vegetables, so i can go the rest of my workday with plenty of energy.
HAPPY HOUR
The Medication hasn’t affected my Social Life Much. But the decision to be sober on it did.
Prior to Starting Zepbound, I was already About 75% Sober. I WOULD ONLY REALLY DRINK AT OCCACABER EVENTS LIKE WEDDINGS, BACHLORETTE Parties or the One Time A Quarter i Waled Go Out with My Friends. I wasn’t hugely into nightlife. Plus, before the mediating the medication, of the would have one or two drinks and be down for two or three days. It would make me so sick. I COULD NOT EASH IMAGINE DOING THAT COUNTER ON ZPBOND, CECAUSE HAVING A HANGOVER WORKS The Drug’s Side Effects.

But Drinking Has Such an Impact on How People Perceive You As “Fun.” People used to push with them drink before. Starting Zepbound Honestly Just Kind of Gave with An Excuse to Not Drink at All, But That Did Put A Bit of A Damper on Things at Weddings. For the first couple of months that I was taking it, i just said no to a lot of Activities. But i’m a conttent create. I’m 28 Years Old in the City. I’m always going out to events and dinners. Now, have the Same Exact lifestyle of Had before; I just Order something different. But i’m not obsessive with it – i’m not, like, bringing a scale with to the dinner table! I stick to someone vegetables and a protein and i call it a day. And I Only Weigh MySelf Once Every Couple of Weeks.
My Activities with Friends Are Different Now. Instead of speaking Money on Food, we’ll go to a show, on a hike or to my favorite spa, Othership. I’ve diversified my social life instead of only being about drinking and eating. There’s a ton to do in new york City that isn’t that!

I TRY TO COOK DINNER AT HOME MOST NIGHTS NOW. USUALLY IT’S SOME KIND OF BOWL. I Feel Like We, Gen Z, Are the Generation of Bowl! Back in the day, it was the Casserole. Now, it’s like a Turkey-Meatball-Greek Bowl, or A Taco Bowl with Veggies and Ground Beef. I cook for mySelf and my husband, so he shatly eats the same things i will. SOMETIMES I’ll Make Him something a little different. For a sweet Treat, i’ll have chocolate-covered strawberries or prunes.
Make a move
I Switch Between Morning and Night Workouts, Mostly Because My Schedule is Always shifting. I Really Love Peloton Strengh Training Works, but i Just Started Doing Training Routines Through the Ladder app. Occossionally of Walk on a Treadmill Too.
Let’s Get the Bill
Be i go out to dinner. I SPEND SO MOCH MOREY MONEY ON FOOD NOW, SHEGH THOUG I’M GOING OUT A LOT FOR FOOD, CECASE I’M SMALLER THINGS, DIFFERENT THINGS, Splitting Things and Not Drinking.
But i do have a bigger spend on grioes. But with the Lower spend on food out, it balances out. Becuse in Addition to Social Meals Out, I was also uber eats-es-food out. Considering the upcharges and convenience fees on delivery, that expense has gone down a lot.
In terms of the gym, i had a membership before I started zepbound, but i was never going and just paying for it. Now, i just work out at home and do my peloton or usespass. I probably spend a little bit more on workouts, but the Biggest Expens is probably Medical Bills.
That’s though my medication is covered by my insurance, it was $ 25 to $ 55 a month for zepbound, depending on the dosse. But to get my medication, have to go to the doctor every three months to renew my prescription. And that Costs Like $ 150 EVERY VISIT, AFT Insurance. And, when i initially got my prescription from a doctor at a health startup, it was a $ 500 Package. But ultimately i’m spending mess, Becuse my food spending was so extrame. Plus, I Walk More, SO I Save Money On Ubers. Between Rides and Food, of Was, Like, Their Best Customer. It was a lifestyle.
