PIXI Mocha Makeup

If you’ve not heard of the Colour of the Year by now, you can guess by PIXI’s new SS25 trend – it is the rich mocha-brown tone.

Start with a good base with Flawless Beauty Primer, £19.20 at Sephora, to keep your skin hydrated, then pair with the award-winning On-The-Glow Base, £22 at PIXI Beauty for airbrushed-looking skin.

Dab a bit of Eyelift Max in Mocha, £12, for a soft-focus metallic brown to add depth to your eyes; or pick hazelnut haze from the Eye Effects Shadow Palette, with a damped brush for a more intense, pigmented effect. As for the cheeks, try the popular On-The-Glow Bronze in either SoftGlow or RichGlow, £18 at Boots, to get that sun-kissed look in one swipe.

Ultra Violette SPF lip balm

When it comes to anti-ageing, good skincare is key to reduce and prevent further skin damage and while many of us focus on our face, our lips are also vulnerable. The skin on our lips is thin and the area lacks oil glands to maintain moisture; hence a lip balm with SPF is ideal.

Australian sunscreen brand Ultra Violette’s SPF ‘Sheen Screen’ Lip Balm contains SPF50 protection. The hydrating formula includes Lanolin, shea butter and cacao seed butter to keep your kissers soft and smooth, while a subtle tint and SPF leave behind a bit of shine and a lot of protection, which prevents your lip lines from more prominent.

WILD deodorant

Love is in the air this week and natural bodycare brand Wild has launched an aluminium case for its bestselling deodorant. Choose between a red heart case or a black heart case, with the case costing £11 on its own, or £14 if you want it to include a scent – I’d go for Love Potion – a blend of wild strawberries, champagne and juicy berries.

It’s all natural, paraben-free while keeping your underarms smelling amazing. Instead of the traditional deodorant notes, WILD offers a range of perfume-inspired scents like cedar and sandalwood or lavender and geranium. You can change up your scent when you finish one pack and refill it with another.

Step One underwear

Aussie lifestyle brand Step One recently touched down in the UK and is known for its comfortable pieces with moisture-wicking technology. Made from buttery soft viscose obtained from bamboo, the padded bra (£18 each or £72 for 4), bikini briefs, and body shorts are like a second-skin with no digging or rolling.

For a limited time, you can get a pack of three briefs with 41% off on Amazon, or £9 for a pair. The anti-chafe technology is designed to keep you comfortable all day and did I mention they also wash well?

The SmoothFit Bra is equipped with a seamless and wire-free construction and provides supportive straps that work like a charm to give you the lift you deserve without any of the strain.

Sacheu Stayn Lip Liners set of three – £30

I’d been seeing the Sacheu Stayn Lip Liners all over my TikTok For You Page and I was so excited when I finally managed to get my mitts on one. And after giving it a whirl this week, I’m obsessed.

Unlike traditional liners, this peel-off formula stains the lips with long-lasting color, ensuring a defined and natural look that won’t smudge or fade throughout the day. It’s perfect for achieving that plump, fuller-lip effect without the need for constant touch-ups. I also love how easy it is to use—just apply, let it set, and peel away for a seamless, budge-proof finish. Because the peel-off formula dries, I thought it might leave my lips feeling dehydrated, but this wasn’t the case at all. The product is infused with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E for conditioning benefits.

I used the shade P-inked, which I found to be really flattering, but you can actually get a set of three for £30, which works out £6 cheaper than if you were to buy them individually. The only downside is that they do take 10-20 minutes to fully work, so if you’re in a rush, they’re not the best option. But if you apply with plenty of time before heading out of the door, the results are worth it.

Ghd Rise Hot Brush – £179

Earlier this year, I vowed that 2025 would be the year I finally work out how to give myself a salon-worthy bouncy blow-out, and after trying countless hair tools in my time as a beauty writer, I think I’ve finally found ‘the one’ in this ghd Rise Hot Brush.

Sleek and minimalistic with no interchangeable ends or settings that need to be navigated, the tool boasts a 32mm barrel which creates the most beautiful curls, which you can make them tighter or looser depending on how you move the barrel. As well as using the Rise to curl my hair, I realised that it can also be used to straighten my locks. Paired with the 185°C temperature, the bristles on the brush create enough tension to smooth my hair straight, getting rid of any bobble marks or kinks, while giving my front pieces some shape, too.

Already, I’ve found myself leaving the tool out on my dressing table, ditching my straighteners, curlers and Airwrap for this singular device which seems to do it all. But if I had to pick any fault with the device, it’s that it doesn’t come with a storage case like my Dyson products, which would help protect it from damage and make it easy to travel with. I also would have liked a variable temperature setting, so that I could adjust the settings to my preference, however, many hair styling brands consider 185°C to be the ideal temperature for achieving good results with minimal damage to most hair types. Marks & Spencer Faux Leather Bowler Bag – £39.50

Leopard print, make space for snake print. This cool, edgier animal pattern is one I predict will take centre stage in 2025, and this M&S Faux Leather Bowler Bag is an easy way to incorporate the trend into your wardrobe.

The design features two elongated top handles for easy carry and a practical zip closure, which opens to reveal a fully lined interior with a handy slip pocket. The neutral color palette means it will go well with most outfits to add a splash of pattern, pairing particularly well with hues like olive green.

With its structured shape and practical size, this bag is ideal for work or weekend outings, though one shopper did find it to be smaller than they’d initially thought, commenting: “This is a lovely and fashionable bag in two attractive colours . It arrived smaller than I thought it would be but that’s my fault for not checking measurements.” Another shopper added: “Handbag very good value for money. Looks & feels good, lovely colour.” You can shop the £39.50 bag here.

Uniqlo Lambswool Crew Neck Jumper – £34.90

One thing I’m always happy to invest in is good quality knitwear, because there’s nothing worse than wearing something a handful of times before it starts to bobble. At £34.90, Uniqlo’s 100% premium lambswool jumper strikes a balance between cost and quality, and is perfect for styling a number of ways in your wardrobe.

Warm and soft, it comes in sizes XS to XXL and has a fluffy texture that makes it feel more expensive than it is. While I went for the wine shade, there are seven other colours to choose from, so you can find one that will match with hues already in your wardrobe. I styled it first with my own burgundy and pink satin skirt from ASOS, then swapped that out for a pair of Uniqlo’s Drapey Wide Flare Jeans and a green necktie which gave two completely different looks. The jumper could also be worn with smart trousers and a collared shirt, and would look super chic draped over the shoulders for an off-duty look.

On the Uniqlo website, the classic design has been praised by shoppers, earning a 4.3 star-rating, with many loving the jumper so much, they’ve bought multiple colours. One said: “I bought two of his sweaters, and I am delighted with them, very good quality, goes with everything in class.”

However, some have said it runs small, so it might be worth checking out the size guide to ensure the perfect fit. One said: “Very soft and warm. The material is amazing. Love the colour. Runs a bit small and shrinks with washing.”

Facetheory’s Hydraoat Moisturiser – £16

Trying a new face moisturiser always fills me with both excitement and anticipation; as someone who has relatively sensitive skin, there’s always the risk of irritation. Recently I’ve been using Facetheory’s HydraOat Soothing Daily Moisturiser after I ran out of my beloved Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream and I have been loving how soft and hydrated it has left my dry, wintery skin.

The gentle moisturiser has been crafted with sensitive skin in mind and is made with colloidal oatmeal, which is known for its soothing properties. Hyaluronic acid in the formula hydrates, while shea butter adds nourishment. The relatively thick formula absorbs rapidly and leaves your complexion with a lovely glow. Plus, it’s a great base for make-up.

Next’s brown striped co-ord – from £35

I’m a sucker for a co-ord. I love the matchy vibe that is both adorable and edgy and just manages to work with minimal effort. Now, while I usually gravitate towards colourful items of clothing, as soon as I saw this brown and navy denim co-ord on Next’s website, I was hooked. The shirt’s slightly baggy but preppy finish (especially with the button fastened to the top) and bloat friendly trousers with their draw-string tie; the two pieces together looked comfortable, cool and quite the statement. Costing £38 and £35 respectively, the set comes in sizes 6 to 22 and is made from 100% cotton, making it all the more durable.

While I’d pair the set underneath a baggy jumper with some trainers and my trench coat, in the warmer months, it’ll work well with sandals and a blue denim jacket.

Nobody’s Child’s Denim Wide Leg Turn Up Jeans – £79

Like many women, my relationship with denim has always been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. But since trying out a pair of Nobody’s Child jeans last year, I have to say denim is not so much of an enemy any more with the right brand. So, naturally, when Nobody’s Child released a new collection of stunning denim pieces, including a pair of wide-leg turn up jeans that called to me, I immediately added them to my wishlist. Costing £79, these will certainly be a well earned payday treat.

As a wide leg lover, these jeans are bang on trend with their turned up hem, giving them an 80s feel. In a blue mid-wash, the jeans come in two different lengths – 29inches and 31inches – and made from a combination of organic and recycled cotton, they’re super soft.

Nipping you in at the waist, they’re flattering and go perfectly with a graphic tee – or blouse, for something more smart.
