12 countries refused to stop the Gaza war by the United Nations vote .. What are it?

The United Nations General Assembly voted with an overwhelming majority, in favor of an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire in the war in Gaza, allowing the arrival of aid, release of hostages held by Hamas in the Strip, returning the Palestinians detained in Israel, and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza completely.

The decision strongly denounced “the use of civilization of civilians as a method of war, illegal prohibition of humanitarian aid, and the deprivation of civilians of indispensable things to survive.”

The decision was approved by a majority of 149 votes.

But on the other hand, 12 countries rejected the decision, namely:

The United States, Israel, Argentina, Hungary, Figi, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Micronesia, Nauro, Palau, Tonga and Tofalu.

While 19 countries refrained from voting on the decision, namely:

Albania, Czech Republic, India, Ecuador, Democratic Congo, Ethiopia, Cameroon, Georgia, Malawi, Northern Macedonia, Romania, Slovakia, South Sudan, Togo, Panama, Dominica, Kiribati, East Timor, and Marshall Islands.

The decisions of the General Assembly are not binding, but it carries a weight that it reflects the global vision of the war, knowing that previous calls from the association to end the war were met with ignorance.

In contrast to the Security Council, no country has the veto of the United Nations General Assembly.
