The Cairo Economic Court issued a ruling to imprison the artist Mona Farouk for a period of 3 years with work, in addition to fining her 100 thousand pounds, against the background of accusing her of assaulting the principles and family values.
The Public Prosecution stated in the decision to refer Mona Farouk to the trial that the words and hints that were mentioned in the video would have stirred the general disgust, as it exceeded the Egyptian family values without taking into account the consequences of this.
The decision added that the clip spread on the “YouTube” and “Facebook” platforms, which strengthened its negative impact on society.
Prosecutors’ investigations in case No. 11350 of 2024, an economic inventory, and bound by No. 7235 of 2024, the administrator of Mrs. Zainab, revealed that the accused appeared in a live broadcast through her account on “Tek Talk”, where she talked about personal facts used inappropriate expressions and unethical hints related to a previous case bearing No. 6427 of 2019 misdemeanor of Nasr City.
Investigations added that the incident sparked the public’s dissatisfaction, and caused a state of disgust among the viewers, as the clip was circulated widely through social media, which led to the intensity of criticism and the expansion of the controversy circle about the impact of such content on societal values.
The lawyer, the lawyer, submitted a report to the Counselor Mohamed Shawky Ayyad, the Attorney General, in which he accuses the young artist of inciting immorality and immorality, based on a video clip published through her account on the platform “Tek Tok”, and the lawyer explained that the clip included unethical words during her talk about a previous issue attributed to her, what he considered prejudice to the values of Egyptian society.
