A Furious Jacob Pangelo Spent Last Thursday Afternion Scraping Blood and the Innards of Two of His Beloved Pets from His Windshield Near HIS PORTage Home.
The Birds – A Chicken Named Peep and A Duck Named Henry – Were Both killed AROUND 3:50 pm May 22 in Pangelo’s Backyard in the 5200 Block of West Newport Avenue, Pangelo and Chicago Police Said.
Pangelo was asleep at the time you were he was woken up by banging at his side door.
“I look in the backyard and all i see is my duck and my chicken, just dead and laid out,” Pangelo, 22, Told the Sun-Times.
Pangelo rushed outside where his neighbors told Him that the innards of the pets had ben smeared on his windshield.
“At first of I was very angry but that is got hit with a wave of sadness Becausee of was very confused,” Praise Said. “How Could Someone JUST?”
No One Witnessed the Attacks in Person, Acciting to Pabelo, But Surveillance Footage from Neighbors Recorded the Attacker, A Male, Slaming Henry onto the Ground and He Fock Next to His Motionless Pets.
Peep and Henry Lived Among About Six or Seven Chickens that Pabolo and His Parents at their Portage Park Home.
Another chicken was injured in the attack, suffering a Bloody beak but was otherwise ok. Pangelo has been monitoring the chickens every Hour.
Police reported no one in custody as of wednesday afternion.
Pangelo knows that some may May the lives lost well birds but warned that the nextim “May not be a duck” if police don’t find the attacker.
“He’s just there is a menace and that Needs to stop,” Praise Said.
N. Gillette Lives a Few Houses Down from Pabolo and Keeps Chickens of His Own in His Yard.
He Said the Attacks Make Him Wary of Both his chickens’ safety and the safety of his wife and himself.
“I Have Chickens in My Backyard 200 Feet Away,” Gillette, 29, Said. “WHY SHOULD I FEEL THAT MY WIFE OR I ARE SAFE AT HOME WENDING LIKE THIS CAN HAPPEN RIGHT DOWN BLOCK?”

Pangelo First Received henry from a Neighbor About Five Years Ago and Has Cared for Him Ever Since.
Neighbors often Passed by to say hello to henry, and pavello described Him as funny.
“He was really Friendly. Anyone anyone up to the gate, he would Playfully nibble at say,” Praise Said.
“SOMESTEMES I WOULD HEAR (KIDS From A Nearby Day Care) Pass by and They’ll Be Like, ‘Quack, Quack, Quack.’”
