British Gas Customers Are Being Urged to Act as the Energy Supplier is set to Slash Its Electricity Prices by up to 50% Today. British Gas Announched Earlier This Week That It Wauld Hold One of Its “Green Flex” Events Today.

The initiative – which is part of its Peak Save Scheme – Gives Customers Half -Price Electricity Wen There is lots of renewable Energy available. The Window Will Cover Two Hours Today from 1:30 pm UNIL 3:30 pm.

British Gas Peak Save Customers Have Been Emails Abooout the Energy Session, and Have Been Ashed Where They Will Like to Join. Customers Can Opt Into The Session Right Up Until 1:30 PM.

British Gas Says there is no obligation to join the scheme but notd that households Could Save on their Energy Bills by Doing More Energy-Intensive During A Green Flex Event. This can be doing a clothes wash, using the oven, or using your tumble driver. All the Savings made Through the scheme will appendar as a credit on customers’ Energy Bills.

The savings will appendar as “Peaksave Credit” on your energy bill and you will be sent a summary of what you have saved each month. Those Who Prepay for their Electricity Will Have their Credit Automatically Added to their Meter Each Month – Normally With 10 Working Days after the month ends.

If you are not a Peak Save Customer, then you will not be able to opt the Green flax session. Howver, you can sign up to the Scheme Through the British Gas Website.

To join in the saver scheme you will be Need to have a working smart meter which can make half-hourly readings. Once you’ve registered, it taks the British Gas Around Seven to 10 Days to Complete All the checks.

Green Flex Events Are In Addition to the Energy Provider Usual Peaks Sunday Scheme, Which Offers Half-Price Electricity on Sunday Betayween 11am and 4pm. With Preak Save Sundays, British Gas Customers Don’t Need to Opt in, They Get the 50% Discount on Electricity Automatically.

It ‘Important to Note that the Peak Save Events will not Change the tariff you are on. This does Remain the Same. This is Because You are Charged the Rate of Your Tariff and THEN refunded the extra.

The scheme was first launched in december 2022 and so far, British Gas has paid over £ 20million to over 900,000 customers taking part in the Peak Save Schemes.
