Director Melissa Miller Costanzo’s Run has crossed the finish line, with Chris Redd rounding out the cast of the drama based on Barrie Levitt Knee’s debut novel Plain Jane.
The Saturday Night Live alum joins Sarah Levy (Schitt’s Creek, SurrealEstate), Phillipa Soo (Broadway’s Hamilton, Shining Girls), and Adam Pally (Happy Endings) in the movie, which has officially wrapped production in New Jersey.
Run follows Jane Cooper (Levy), who—fueled by questions of morality and a meticulously curated playlist—sets out to complete the Garden State Marathon while navigating a collapsing marriage, the impending death of her best friend and a life-altering decision she cannot outrun.
Producers include Knee of B’s Knees, LLC and Matt Jensen, with Jax Katz serving as executive producer.
Following his 2017-’22 run on SNLRedd co-created and starred in the 2022 Peacock comedy series Bust Down. Levy is best known for her role as Twyla Sands in Schitt’s Creek. Soo, who originated Eliza in Broadway’s Hamiltonearned a Tony Award nomination for the role, and most recently starred as Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl. Pally, an actor, comedian and writer, broke out as Max Blum on the cult-favorite ABC comedy Happy Endings.
