The Ministry of Health and Population announced the implementation of more than 5,000 training programs aimed at 42 thousand trainees from medical, administrative and technical staff in all governorates of the Republic during the first half of 2025, as part of the Ministry’s strategy to enhance the efficiency of health workers and improve the quality of health services provided to citizens.
Dr. Hussam Abdul Ghafar, the official spokesman of the ministry, explained that these training programs are part of the ministry’s vision of investing in human resources, with the aim of enabling them to provide distinct health services that meet the needs of citizens, adding that the training includes vital specialties such as infection control, emergency, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, intensive care, specialized nursing, clinical pharmacy, quality management, digital transformation, in addition to leadership and administrative skills, which enhances the efficiency of the medical and administrative teams on all service levels.
Dr. Hanadi Muhammad, head of the medical profession development sector, confirmed the implementation of more than 520 training courses for over 10,000 trainees, including specialized medical specialties, management of health institutions, leadership and communication skills, and the training of trainers (TOT) program, indicating that these programs were carefully designed to meet the needs of workers and follow the priorities of the development of the health system.
For his part, Dr. Muhammad Abd al-Fattah, head of the Central Administration for Continuous Professional Development, explained that the training plan supported presidential initiatives in the areas of maternal and child health, early detection of tumors, and marriage screening, through the implementation of more than 1,100 training courses aimed at the teams implementing these initiatives, which contributed to unifying service standards and ensuring quality implementation across provinces.
Dr. Israa Abu Zaid, Director of the General Administration of Training Centers, added that these achievements were achieved in coordination with the Ministry’s sectors and health affairs departments, as the training programs covered all provinces and included various fields such as medical and nursing specialties, safety and quality, medical waste management, health informatics, and governance, confirming that these efforts are in line with the Ministry’s vision to build qualified personnel capable of keeping up with developments in the health sector.
The Ministry of Health and Population confirms its commitment to continue developing human resources through comprehensive training programs, to ensure the provision of high-quality health services, meet the aspirations of citizens and enhance the position of the Egyptian health system.
