The incident began during the coverage of the Lebanese “Al-Deed” channel for the forum’s proceedings, when the message went to Hala Sirhan to conduct a quick interview, but she asked the question casually saying: “From which country are you?”

“الجديد” channel
“Al-Dided” channel rushed to delete the video from all its official accounts on “Facebook” and “Ix” and “Instagram”, without issuing any official explanation about the reason for the move, which did not raise questions about whether the decision was a request from Hala Sarhan or the result of the dispute that caused the segment.
Despite the deletion, the audience continued to re-post the video from the version they kept, so that it topped the search rankings again in the number of Arab countries, while titles such as “إحراج على الايفور” and “حالة سرحان توبخ لبنانية” appeared on news sites and entertainment content platforms.

On the other hand, the audience considered that Hala Sarhan behaved politely at the end of the situation when she handled the matter with humor, confirming that her response was not intended to offend anyone, but rather to convey a professional message about the importance of preparation before direct interviews.
