He was accompanied by Dr. Hazem Omar, Deputy Governor, and Muhammad Halmy, Head of the Local Unit for the Center and City of Qana, and Hassan Al-Qat, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Trade in the Governorate.
During the tour, the governor inspects a number of vital files, including monitoring the state of public cleanliness, the maintenance of light poles, and monitoring the extent to which commercial establishments comply with the permits granted to them, as well as violations of the sidewalks resulting from unauthorized occupations, where he ordered the issuance of immediate notices to the violating establishments, especially those that take over the sidewalks completely, which hinders the movement of citizens and spoils the public appearance.
The governor confirmed that some simple occupations that do not exceed 30 to 40 centimeters can be regulated according to the regulations and pay the prescribed fees, emphasizing at the same time the rejection of any complete claim to the pavement, as it is a clear violation of the citizen’s right to use the public road.
As well as the governor’s obligation to comply with the traffic rules of taxi drivers and public vehicles, and not to stop traffic, the competent authorities are required to extend the field follow-up and take legal action.
And in a humanitarian gesture during his tour, Dr. Khalid Abd al-Halim made a surprise visit to Al-Shahed Ahmed Jamal Nasari Preparatory School for Boys, where he saw a number of students practicing football, in order to encourage them to continue their sports activities, especially the role of the school’s sports teachers in activating the activities during the morning.
I concluded my tour with the invitation of citizens and business owners to cooperate with the executive authorities, to comply with the laws and regulations, and to contribute to the preservation of the city’s cultural appearance.
