The Syrian national team has officially booked a seat in the finals of the 2027 Asian Cup, after beating Myanmar with three goals, in a meeting held on Friday evening among the competitions of the fourth round of the continental qualifiers.
Bablou Sbag managed to unlock the Myanmar defense by scoring the first goal in the 79th minute, before the same player came back to score the second goal only six minutes later, while Muhammad Al-Salkhdi finished off the “Nasour Qasiun” with a strong strike in the 87th minute, to confirm the superiority of the Syrian team’s performance and result.
And with this victory, the Syrian team rose to 12 points at the top of the fifth group, officially qualifying for the finals scheduled to be held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, leaving a comfortable distance from its closest rivals.
This is a tribute to the special levels presented by the team under the leadership of the Spanish technical director José Lana, who succeeded in building a harmonious combination between the defensive strength and the offensive power, to continue the Syrian football shine in the continental circles.
