And this session amid expectations indicates the possibility of interest rate cuts, especially after the unexpected rise in inflation, which reached 13.1% in March last year.
It is mentioned that the committee decided during the previous meeting, which was held on February 20, 2025, that the interest rates will not change, in the first decision to be established from the beginning of the year, and the second of its kind, respectively.
The overnight deposit and loan rates were recorded at 27.25% and 28.25%, in addition to keeping the bank’s main operation rate at 27.75%, as well as the credit and discount rates at the same level.
