Dr. Mohamed Al-Tyeb, Deputy Minister of Health and Population, held a meeting with Al-Sayyed Eif Sasinrath, representative of the United Nations Population Fund in Egypt, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the new administrative capital, to discuss joint cooperation and strengthen partnership in the field of human development.
Dr. Hussam Abdel Ghafar, the official spokesman of the ministry, explained that the meeting focused on strengthening cooperation within the framework of the presidential initiative “New start for human development”, in line with the goals of sustainable development and the vision of “Egypt 2030”. The Deputy Minister confirmed Egypt’s commitment to the 2024-2030 Human Development Program, in support of the United Nations Fund for Human Development.
The meeting discussed the mechanisms of technical support provided by the fund for the presidential initiative, through the development of monitoring and evaluation systems, and the organization of workshops and training courses to develop the capabilities of human resources, in order to enhance the efficiency of the work system and support the achievement of development goals.
“عبدالغفار” referred to the discussion of the organization of joint meetings to measure the indicators of human development, and to establish a framework for monitoring and evaluating the initiative, as well as the agreement of the general manager to promote investment in human capital. The meeting emphasized the importance of preparing a common road map for the next phase, with the emphasis on the expansion of Egypt for cooperation with United Nations agencies to achieve welfare and sustainable development goals.
