

The Summer I Turned Pretty breakout star Lola Tung will venture into horror for one of her next projects and continue to embrace summer for others. Following three seasons portraying Isabel “Belly” Conklin in the Prime Video television adaptation of Jenny Han’s beloved book trilogy, which concluded with Season 3 in September, the actress made her Broadway debut in Hadestown nor Eurydice.
She also has a few films in the works in addition to that Summer I Turned Pretty movie, which was announced after the finale of Season 3 of the show aired.

‘Chasing Summer’
Tung wrapped a film this summer called Chasing Summerwhich stars writer Iliza Shlesinger, Megan Mullally, Garrett Wareing, Tom Welling, Aimee Garcia, Cassidy Freeman and Jeff Perry. Shlesinger stars as Jamie, who retreats to her small Texas hometown after she loses her job and boyfriend. At home, her life is challenged by her past. Variety broke the news of the film.

‘The Young People’
Tung will costar with Nico Parker alongside Bredan Hines, Cush Jumbo, Heather Graham, Johnny Knoxville, Lexi Minetree, Lily Collias and Tatiana Maslany in Osgood Perkins’ The Young People. The film, co-financed by Neon, will release theatrically in the US The story is based on a script that Perkins wrote, and it marks the first project of the first-look deal between Neon, Perkins and his production banner Phobos. Production is slated to start this fall.
