The meeting was held on a joint initiative between British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron, with the aim of coordinating military and political support and strengthening international efforts to counter the effects of the Russian war on Ukraine.

It is intended as a coalition of those interested, the international formation of more than 30 countries, which was announced after the summit in the British capital, London, on March 2, and brought together European leaders and representatives of international organizations in order to discuss mechanisms for promoting peace in Ukraine.
