The city of Los Angeles witnessed one of the worst criminal cases, after which the American model “Malissa Mooney” was found in her refrigerator, covered in hair and mouth, in a crime described by the prosecution as “injured by violence”.
And the investigations revealed that the criminal “Maghnos Humphrey”, aged 43 years, was related to the victim who was in atheism and three years old, with a short love affair that did not exceed five days only, after her estranged sister introduced her.
During that short period, the accused behaved in a strange way, and she was “the woman who married her”, according to the testimonies of her friends in front of the court.
The police explained that the body was found in September 2023 inside the victim’s apartment in Los Angeles, and it was connected to electrical wires and pieces of fabric from a dress printed with the pattern of the Al-Fahd, while the photos presented to the court showed the presence of obvious bruises on her body and traces of violence indicating that she had been beaten before death.

In contrast, the defense attorney confirmed that the client did not kill her, despite the existence of evidence of her existence at the scene of the crime, pointing out that their relationship was based on love and desire to marry.
The prosecution pointed out that the crime carried a deliberate character, explaining that the dispute between the parties may have arisen over money that was not disclosed, and confirmed that Humphrey could face the death penalty if convicted, while the authorities did not consider whether they would be required to apply it.
