‘The Body’ TV Series From Quinn Shephard Adds 11 As Recurring (EXCLUSIVE)

EXCLUSIVE: Quinn Shephard has added 11 to The Bodythe gritty coming-of-age drama she’s creating, showrunning and directing for Netflix.

New recurring cast members include Ashley Madekwe (Dr. Death), Gyn Foster Motel (La Cocina), Cale Ambrozic (Finding Her Edge), Anna Tierney (Three Pines), Chloe Longname (The Lonely Women), Sarah Abbott (Ice Cream Man), Emily Roman (The Lake), Michela Luci (Dino Dana), Bella Neuspiel (Spirit in the Blood), Julia Lowe (Holly Hobby), and Christine Solomon (The Detectives).

Madekwe will play Theresa Franklin, with Foster as Michael Franklin, Ambrozic as Benji, Tierney as Melanie, Longname as Eden, Abbott as Olivia, Roman as Claire, Luci as Amy, Neuspiel as Katie, Lowe as Blair, and Solomon as Salma.

As previously announced, series regulars include Kristina Bogic as Anya Butler, Sara Boustany as Elise Zakaria, Geena Meszaros as Lisbeth Anderson, Nnamdi Asomugha as Father Franklin, Louisa Krause as Catherine Anderson, Shirley Chen as Maddie Delaney, Jackson Kelly as Leo Anderson, and Sofia Wylie as Grace Franklin. Others set for recurring roles include Kyra Pierce as Bailey Bradley, Phallon Pierce as Brit Bradley, Marcel Ruiz as Tyler Santos, Orlando Norman as Steven Maxwell, and Gabby Windey as Coach Miller.

Hailing from North Road Company and Riley Keough’s Felix Culpa, the show sees a dance-team initiation gone wrong leading a group of badly behaved Catholic school girls to start having prophetic visions that set off mass hysteria in their town. Executive producers include Peter Chernin, Amy Israel and Josh Stern for North Road; Keough, Gina Gammell and Sacha Ben Harroche for Felix Culpa; and Blair Breard.
