Executive producer Andy Cohen is not new to ridiculous reality TV moments The Real Housewives. The Bravo King has been a part of the franchise since the beginning and is an integral part of the series’ growth, so he is a legitimate judge of quality. Thus, with decades of TV under his belt, Cohen told US Weekly that one of the best episodes in reality TV history belongs to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
The series is currently in its seventh season and was recently crowned The Best Cast Ever by US Weekly. Starring Heather Gay, Mary Cosby, Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, and Angie Katsanevas, Bravo is doing something right with RHOSLC. And while there are nine current cities in the franchise, Cohen praises RHOSLC.
Andy Cohen Praises The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s S4 Finale
In October 2025, the season 6 cast of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City was chosen as well US Weekly’s Best Cast Ever for a reality TV show. The honor is noted, considering there are nine other cities in the franchise, dating back to 2006.
Speaking to the publication, Andy Cohen praised RHOSLC for the women’s “unique history” with one another, especially in connection to the Mormon church. Because of the bond they shared, Cohen complimented the cast by sharing that the season 4 finale is one of the best episodes to grace TV.
“(The finale is) one of the best single episodes of television in Bravo history.”
In the episode “Mysteries Revealed,” the Housewives are on vacation in Bermuda. The women had some disagreements with each other, but the core group bonded like never before when a shocking revelation came across their path.
Heather Gay discovered that newcomer Monica Garcia wasn’t who she claimed to be. Instead of being a true friend, she was collecting information and using it against the cast on social media under the guise of Reality Von Tease. Garcia initially denied the allegation before eventually admitting it.
She was quickly booted from the friend group and fired from the next season. Bravo’s production and casting agents claimed they did not know about Garcia’s true identity, even though Garcia alleged they did.
The cast remained united in season 5, but they quickly returned to their old ways the following season. Now in season 6, RHOLSC has some of the most feuds anywhere Real Housewives cast
The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City Is Getting Its Flowers
With countless iconic seasons and casts in The Real Housewives universe, some questioned why US Weekly chose the season 6 cast as the “best ever” for their Reality Stars of the Year issue.
Since season 1, the cast have had a deep history with each other, the Mormon church, and have some of the best comebacks and insults in the franchise. Whitney Rose explained that even though the cast has had their low moments, their bond is unbreakable.
“You may not always see it, but we really do love each other, and there’s a sisterhood that’s unexplained. Even when someone’s coming after you or you’re going after someone else, there is an indescribable bond.”
One of the biggest things that keeps RHOSLC on the map is that the cast has little turnover. The same women from season 1 are still a part of season 6. The only exception is RHOSLC’s Jen Shah, who is currently in prison for six years after allegedly committing fraud.
The authenticity of the women is something that should be replicated in other franchises. Angie Katsanevas talked more about being true to yourself and the appeal it has on viewers.
“When the viewers are able to see your real, authentic self through the TV, when they can feel that and really know you, if it’s able to translate onto television, I think you’re winning.”
Seeing the success of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 6 and the notoriety of the cast, there’s a strong chance that season 7 will be more of the same with its winning cast.
