Miraculous Ladybug Is Getting an Anime Spin-off
After ten years, Miraculous Ladybug is getting an anime-style spin-off titled Miraculous World: Tokyo: Stellar Forcewhich is slated to premiere in 2027. The new series brings a fresh 2D animated take on the franchise, something that many fans have been hoping for ever since the release of Miraculous’ original concept.
The new series will expand the world beyond Paris while maintaining familiar characters and core themes of heroism, friendship, and teamwork. Taking place at an international school in Tokyo, the story will revolve around 12 students who unexpectedly become guardians of the Stellar Matrix, an ancient, fractured cosmic weapon.
Under the leadership of new characters, Miki, Mayotte, and Yu Lu, the group will face off against a series of formidable galactic villains, from the revenge-driven Modeler to a mysterious, powerful force known only as The Supreme. The heroes in Stellar Force must learn to overcome personal differences and work together to take on high-stakes battles and challenges.
The spin-off will also follow Ladybug and Kagami, a central recurring character in the main storyline, as they help the students defeat the villains. It’s hinted that Marinette will uncover secrets about Kagami’s past, allowing their connection to strengthen and develop beyond the main storyline.
Miraculous Ladybug Is One of Disney’s Most Underrated Series
