While season 2’s Shibuya Incident was a brutal moment in the series, viewers might not be prepared for the meat grinder ahead. Jujutsu Kaisen season 3’s latest glimpse even showed one key missing character.
For the official Toho Animation YouTube account, Jujutsu Kaisen season 3’s latest tease includes a heartbreaking glimpse at Megumi Fushiguro, with other characters in tow. Dubbed the “Culling Game Arc”, this story raises the ultimate stakes of Jujutsu Kaisen, and sets up the final arc beyond it. Needless to say, it’ll be an emotional moment for fans.

With fans knowing what’s coming next for Megumi, it’s sure to be a harrowing experience Jujutsu Kaisen season 3. However, with the contents of 70 chapters between the start of the Culling Game and what’s next to come for one of Yuji’s closest friends and allies. The blink-and-you’ll-miss-it glimpse follows other striking character reveals in the trailer’s 15-second duration.
The trailer shows precious glimpses of the Culling Game Arc as part of the sneak peek for fans attending the Shibuya Incident Arc compilation movie. Aside from Megumi, we see Yuji Itadora, Yuta Okkotsu, Choso, Sukuna, and one other key reveal. While the Culling Game is the tentpole event, one other key villain will shine in Jujutsu Kaisen season 3.

For diehard fans of Maki Zenin, this will be the most anticipated part of the series, thanks to propping up the villainous Naoya Zenin, head of the Zenin clan’s Hei sorcerers. Naoya will debut just before the start of the Culling Game, with his bid as self-proclaimed heir to the clan culminating in a true massacre, but not by his hand.

As opposed to the overarching villains like Mahito, Sukuna, or Kenjaku, Naoya represents more of a grounded antagonistic element, serving specifically as Maki’s nemesis. Even the trailer reveals early glimpses of him, with the Jujutsu Kaisen account specifically highlighting his appearance, it’s clear that he’ll feature heavily in the sneak peek.
But yet, before even that, the sneak peek will focus on Itadori’s Extermination Arc, where Yuji finally crosses paths with Yuta. The trailer teases their confrontation, and is sure to be a major draw for attendees upon its release Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution on November 7, 2025 in Japan, with a wider international release on December 5, 2025.
