‘The Runarounds’ Star Axel Ellis Signs With Haven Entertainment

EXCLUSIVE: Axel Ellis, one of the stars of The Runarounds, has signed with Haven Entertainment.

Prime Video’s new YA music series, about a group of graduating high-school seniors in Wilmington, North Carolina who form a rock band to pursue stardom, marks the screen acting debut of actor-musician Ellis. He plays Neil Crosby, the philosophical, pot smoking guitarist and singer of The Runarounds, the real-life band at the center of the show which recently completed a 19-date sold-out tour following the Sept. 1 release of the TV series and its companion soundtrack.

The Runarounds, created by Outer Banks co-creator Jonas Pate, was built around the rock group, which Pate originally assembled for a performance on the hit Netflix action-adventure YA series. It is currently awaiting Season 2 renewal decision by Prime Video.

Additionally, Ellis has his own band, Ax and the Hatchetmen, who signed with Arista Records in November of 2023 and put out their debut full length LP “So Much To Tell You” two weeks ago. The Hatchetmen are on tour now through the end of the year.

In addition to signing with Amy Slomovits and Mike Jezusko of Haven Entertainment, Ellis is repped for music by Nate Meese of 7S Mgmt.
