Aldi’s £5.99 alternative to £67 Kayali luxury fragrance is ‘identical’ to the original

Shoppers are rushing to get their hands on Aldi’s brand new luxury fragrances – that people can save up to 91% on compared to their high end designer counterparts

Aldi have treated shoppers to a range of new fragrances – but one that has stopped perfume lovers in their tracks is the brand new Lacura Pistachio Eau de Parfum (£5.99, 50ml).

People are saying it’s ‘identical’ to them Kayali Pistachio Gelato fragrance (£67) and smells ‘wonderful’ as shoppers race to pick up a bottle.

The sweet and nutty notes combined with musky vanilla and sandalwood give it a head turning scent, and for just £5.99, people can save 91% compared to the original.

Savvy fragrance lovers need look no further than Aldi’s middle aisle, as the new fragrance line up is available in stores from October 12, while stocks last.

There are so many perfume dupes out there, but Aldi’s has definitely got people talking. TikToker Emi, who posts as well @emibudhabhai on the platform, recently said: “So apparently the new Pistachio perfume from Aldi smells like Kayali,” and said it smells “wonderful”. Another commented on her video saying: “It’s stunning! I can’t get enough!” Another added: “It’s so good, I bought it today”.

When you’re buying a designer fragrance, they often don’t come cheap, so it’s no wonder people opt for cheaper alternatives. There’s no denying the Aldi version isn’t as aesthetic as the Kayali bottle, but for the huge savings you’re making – it’s definitely worth it and you smell almost identical.

Sweet smelling perfumes are currently trending – and known as “gourmand fragrances”, people are opting for sweet yet seductive scents that will definitely make heads turn.

The Kayali scent is described as a “delicious explosion of irresistible and edible notes” including pistachio, whipped cream, roasted hazelnut, sweet rum, fluffy marshmallow and fizzy cotton candy. “A truly yummy fragrance that charms with an unforgettably intense, gourmand scent trail that will have you smelling good enough to eat!”

Another popular dessert-smelling fragrance is the new one Sabrina Carpenter With Espresso Eau de Parfum Spray (£22) with cocoa powder and the bold, addictive aroma of Espresso Bean. It also has notes of vanilla and jasmine alongside notes of biscotti, caramel, amber and whipped cream.

Alternatively, Tom Ford offers the Vanille Fatale Eau de Parfum (£290). A dark, spicy twist on vanilla – rich with coffee, woods, and a smoky warmth that feels super luxurious and a nice scent for the fall. An unapologetic exploration of vanilla. Vanille Fatale evokes the ingredient’s alter-ego – a beguiling, richly cinematic and deeply seductive scent.
