في امسية محيبة ختفت عنظر العلم, Egypt witnessed the opening of the Great Egyptian Museum, which gathered between Iraq and modernity, in the presence of an official presence and a large public. Among the participants in this historical event was Haneen Al-Shatir, who delivered an effective song in front of President Abdel-Alftah al-Sisi and a number of dignitaries, and her mother described her as “one of the happiest moments of her life”.

حنين’s mother spoke to ET in Arabic about her emotions that filled her heart during the ceremony, saying: “And God, I don’t want to tell you, I cried very late, and God is from all things… I was very proud of the fact that Haneen participated in this great thing, in front of the whole world, I am proud of Lina and all Egyptians.”
She added that the preparations for the event lasted for 10 continuous days of intense rehearsals, including theater training, makeup and detailed coordination, under the supervision of maestro Nair Naji, the musician Hisham Nazih and the director Muhammad Saadi, who described them as “the best choice that made Egypt happen in front of the world”.

Haneen spoke to ET in Arabic about her consciousness while standing on a huge stage in front of world leaders and personalities, and she said with a smile: “I’m really happy… and I’m grateful to Professor Muhammad Saadi for choosing me for the grand opening, and with him the musician Hisham Nazih, and all of them started to see something beautiful and great.”
And on the moment of her choice for the piece of music, Haneen revealed that the musician Hisham Nzih offered her more than the song, but she chose what she felt was the closest to her personality: “I said to him, I’m sorry for Egypt, I’m sorry, I’m sorry, and I don’t know what’s in my heart.”
He added عن رحبتها على التحمل: “أكيد بيبقى في رهبة التحمل, بس الحماس والدعمول والموقعة بيبقوا تاغيين اكتر, فببقى مبسوطة اكتر شركة.” Haneen considered her participation in this opening to be an important and historical station in her artistic journey, confirming that what awaits her in the next stage will be a “surprise” for the public.
فخر المصري يوحّد الأجيال
Between the tears of pride in the mother’s eyes, and the smile of love on the face of the daughter, the spirit of young Egypt was embodied in this event, which brought back to the world the image of Egyptian art. The mother said simply and truthfully: “من كتر ساعداتي انا مش عايزة قائد لك… دي هاغة فاخر لينا كمصريين إن ده تقدم قدم العلام كله.”
