ودّع الوسط الفني اليوم الإذنين أونها من على الايكوناهته, where the death of Diane Lad, nominated for three Oscars, and the mother of Laura Dearn, at the age of 89 years, were announced, in their home in the city of Ojai, California.
And in an influential statement quoted by Variety magazine and shared by ET in Arabic, Laura said what she meant: “She passed away, her wonderful heroine and mother’s great gift, ديان لاد, and I am beside her this morning. She was the greatest mother, woman, artist, and loving soul that only dreams can create. We were happy to have her, and now she is in love with her angels.”

على مدا عقد من العطاة الفنيك, رُشّحت ديان لاد 3 مرات الأوسكار عن دوارها في فيلم Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymoreو Wild at Heartو Rambling Rosealong with multiple nominations for prizes and gold medals.
Lad started her career in Hollywood after she changed her name from “Dian Laden” to “Dian Lad”, and participated in prominent television works such as Perry Mason و Naked Citybefore she got her first movie role in 1966 in the film The Wild Angels إلى جانب بيتر فوندا ونانسي سيناترا وبروس ديرن, إذي بسامها زوجها لورا ووالد ابنتها لورا.
عام 1974, قدّمت ديان الفلمً لافتًا في فيلم المخرج مترن سكورسيزي Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymorewhere the character “Flo” was nominated for the first Oscar award for the best actress.
قد علهم نجاه فيلم مسلسل Alice The television that lasted for years, وحصدت عنه ديان العربية غولدن غلوب عام 1981.

وسجّل فيلم Rambling Rose A momentous moment in history, where all of the mother and daughter were nominated for the Oscars in the same year, Laura as the best actress and Diane as the best actress.
معساة شكلت حماءها
After the great technical success, she lost her daughter Diyan, who was 18 years old, and she lost her daughter.
And away from the screen, Diane was also a writer, where she published books about her experiences in life and soul, then collaborated with her daughter Laura in writing a joint book titled Honey, Baby, Mine عام 2023, استُوحيت من احاديثهما عام عام 2018.
Laura said about that stage what it meant: “We started talking and talking, and those walks were full of sincerity and deep conversations between us. This book is the fruit of those moments that brought us together more than ever.”
