And the official spokesman of the Presidency of the Republic of Iran said that the Iranian Foreign Minister conveyed to the President the greetings and appreciation of the President, which is what the President values, as both sides emphasized the importance of continuing the current path to explore the prospects for the joint development of relations between the countries.
Ambassador Muhammad Al-Shanawi, the official spokesman, added that the meeting addressed the rapid developments in the region, where the President emphasized the Egyptian position to expand the scope of the conflict, stressing the need to end the escalation to prevent a general regional war, which would have serious implications for the security and capabilities of all the countries and peoples of the region, noting in this context the importance of the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States of America.
The official spokesman said that the president referred in this context to the necessity of an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the implementation of humanitarian aid, as well as the president’s insistence on the inevitable return of peace to nature in the narrow area of Bab al-Mandab and the Red Sea, and on the part of the Iranian foreign minister, the Egyptian role to restore regional stability, stressing the country’s desire to continue dialogue between the two countries in the coming period.
