Mass. residents line up for food donations as SNAP funding lapses

Roughly one in six Massachusetts residents are waiting to find out if the Trump Administration will restart funding the country’s biggest food aid program. Courts have ordered the administration to resume at least partial funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP.

When SNAP payments stopped on Saturday, WBUR’s Martha Bebinger was in a Revere parking lot, where more than 500 people waited for a single bag of groceries.

This segment aired on November 3, 2025.
