It releases just in time for Halloween but viewers may be wondering more about the star of the movie and more about her life off screen.

Born Madison Lily Bailey on January 29, 1999, Bailey was raised in Kernersville, North Carolina by her adoptive parents.
She has six older siblings, five of whom were also adopted through foster care and she has previously spoken about growing up mixed-race in a predominantly white community.
She and two of her sisters got a tattoo in memory of their mother after she sadly died in 2018.
Bailey knew she wanted to be in show business from an early age and already had an agent for modeling while she was in high school.
She originally wanted to be a singer but discovered she was fearful of singing in front of people so she said she probably wouldn’t pursue it on her own.
Friends convinced her to be in her school’s musical production which made her fall in love with acting and she told her agency to start putting her out for roles.
When asked about three items she couldn’t live without, she said her phone, her crystals as she loves meditating and her sneakers.
In 2020, Bailey opened up about being diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, saying she was still learning about it herself as she doesn’t consider herself a ‘therapy person’.
She said: “I’m very internal with the way that I like to deal with things, and I like to self-educate on a lot of things. I got my diagnosis, and that’s what I needed — a word to call it other than ‘crazy.’ I started realizing my own triggers.”
Where you’ve seen her before
Bailey began her professional acting career at the age of 15, first appearing in roles for television series.
She appeared in an episode of Constantine, based on the DC Comics character, which was followed in 2017 by a role in Mr Mercedes, the adaptation of a trilogy of Stephen King novels.
Bailey was a recurring character on another DC superhero show, Black Lightning, in the role of Wendy Hernandez across six episodes in the second season.
The year 2020 saw her in a breakout role as Kiara ‘Kie’ Carrera in the Netflix series Outer Banks, an action-adventure mystery drama which follows the conflict between two groups of teenagers in search of a lost treasure.
Bailey’s character is the daughter of a successful restaurant owner who hangs out with the Pogues, although she is really from the other side, they reject her due to her affiliation with their rivals.
Her sister also works on the show, serving as Bailey’s stunt double thanks to her background as a gymnast.
Who is Madison Bailey dating?
Bailey has been dating former basketball player Mariah Linney for four years.
Linney played for the University of North Carolina and spent four seasons with the Charlotte 49ers.
The pair sparked a romance on TikTok in 2020 with Bailey sliding into Linney’s DMs after being tagged in a post.
As their relationship became more public, Bailey was also more open about coming out as pansexual.
She has hosted Q&As with fans on her social media pages to explain it further and told Entertainment Tonight about her relationship.
She shared: “It’s very serious. I had zero hesitation to post on social media about it because I was like, ‘No matter what happens, you will be in my life forever.’ I care about her so much.”
Time Cut is available to stream from October 30 on Netflix.
