The Board of Directors of the Public Health Insurance Authority held a regular meeting (94), to discuss and approve a number of important decisions and reports aimed at enhancing performance efficiency and improving the services provided to beneficiaries.

And so in the framework of the commitment of the General Authority for Comprehensive Health Insurance to develop the system and guarantee the improvement of the quality of the services provided to the beneficiaries according to the highest standards.

And in the presence of both: Dr. Ehab Abu Ayish, Deputy Chairman of the General Authority for Comprehensive Health Insurance, Al-Massader Muhammad Obaid, Deputy Chairman of the State Council, Dr. Ahmed Mustafa, Chairman of the General Authority for Health Insurance, Walid Abdallah, Head of the State Budget Sector, Dr. Alaa Abd al-Majid, representing the private sector, Dr. Maha Al-Rabat, former Minister of Health and expert in health economics, Sharif Sami, former head of the Financial Supervision Authority and expert in finance and investment, Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Naji Al-Khebir Al-Actuarial, specialized in health actuaries, and Shima Mahmoud, the Secretary of the Ministry of Labor, in the presence of the professor, Farid, the Executive Director of the Authority and a number of the Authority’s leaders.

The board of directors decided on the recommendation of the committee on insurance matters regarding the regulation of only condoms for adults for medical conditions that suffer from the lack of ability to control urine or stool as a result of organic diseases, such as severe injuries that lead to paralysis of the lower half of the body or total quadriplegia, brain tumors or strokes, and cases of multiple sclerosis, in addition to cerebral atrophy. As approved by the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Comprehensive Health Insurance, only blood sugar measuring devices and free screening devices for children and adolescents up to the age of 18 with type 1 diabetes upon diagnosis, while allowing replacement of the device in the event of a malfunction not caused by misuse, must be replaced at the pharmacy from which it was dispensed.

A growth of 71% over the previous financial year of about 10 billion pounds, and the profit for this period reached about 52.1 billion pounds, a growth rate of 43% over the profit made in the previous financial year, which reached 36.4 billion pounds, and a realization rate of 126% of the total balance sheet, and the total accumulated various allocations amounted to 10.9 billion pounds, a growth rate of 25% over the previous financial year. 30 June 2025 total assets of 187 million pounds.
