The Pakistani authorities announced, today Saturday, the closure of the airspace for all flights until 12 noon on Sunday, May 11, in a new escalation step amid the escalation of military tensions with India.

This decision was made after the launch of Pakistan’s military operation under the name “Al-Baniyan Al-Marsoos”, in response to a wave of Indian rockets aimed at three air bases in Pakistan’s territory, according to the local “Jeo News” channel.

In his statement, the Pakistani Defense Minister, Khawaja Asif, confirmed that the country is fully prepared for the next phase of the confrontation with India, and despite the signs described as “misleading” from the Indian side around peace, Asif stressed that the Indian aggression is still ongoing, and that Pakistan will not hesitate to respond.

And Asif said: “Lo, I didn’t enter Pakistan quickly, I was sure that the country will not tolerate any new enemy, and I will not be able to move the situation to the level of danger.”

Warnings from the new war and the possibility of escalation

Asif warned against the possibility of an escalation of the conflict to international dimensions, especially when the parties are afraid of it.

He said: “Anyone between India and Pakistan will not be confined to the region, but rather to the world.”

As the Pakistani defense minister criticized the international community on the background of “reconciliation” on the end of the escalation, he pointed out that the majority of the country did not take any action.

He also expressed his belief that American President Donald Trump may seek to create a diplomatic solution to the crisis, especially with his visit to the Middle East region during the current week.

Asif confirmed that he didn’t hold a meeting until now, but he pointed out that security matters are under control.

And mention that one of the vehicles was damaged in the Noor Khan airbase, without registering any material or human losses on other occasions.
