The Ministry of Youth and Sports welcomed Egypt’s selected team to lift weights after their return from the world championships held in Norway during the period from 2 to 11 October, which saw a great success for Egypt’s athletes, winning 6 different medals, including 4 silver and 2 bronze.
Where the reception was held by Dr. Abd al-Awwal Muhammad, general manager of the national team, and the reception was in appreciation of the team’s achievement of a recent international achievement that reflects the strength of Egyptian sports and the development of the level of weightlifting players, who succeeded in lifting Egypt’s name in one of the most important international tournaments.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, the Minister of Youth and Sports, confirmed that this achievement comes as part of the attention and care given by the Egyptian state to sports, and the support of the national team’s champions to achieve more success in international competitions, thanks to the high spirit shown by the players during the tournament.
4 silver and bronze medals came as follows

The ministry congratulated the champions and the technical, administrative and medical bodies, and the board of directors of the Egyptian Federation for Weightlifting, confirming that what has been achieved is a continuation of the series of achievements witnessed by Egyptian sports in various games, thanks to the vision of the political leadership and its continuous support for the athletes and the talented within the national project for talent and the Olympic champion.
