Dr. Muhammad Al-Shazli, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, said that the ministry has not finished the amendments to the new sports law completely yet, we are in the preparation and drafting stage.
“Al-Shazli” added that the Minister of Sports, since assuming responsibility in 2018, confirmed that Law 71 of 2017 is good but needs to be added, noting that the House of Representatives is the only body responsible for the legislation and will be present during the community dialogue after the drafting of the law.
The official spokesman confirmed that the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Prime Minister are not responsible for making amendments or receiving proposals regarding the new law for sports, confirming that the parliament is the only body subject to it.
“Al-Shazli” said that there have been previous meetings held for a long time and attended by the late General Farouk, the former vice-president of Al-Ahly, and Saad Shalabi, the executive director of Al-Ahly and the head of clubs and unions to discuss the new sports law.
He pointed out that when Al-Ahly club issued the first statement, we responded to it with an official letter, that the ministry is in the final stages of drafting the law and did not finish preparing for the discussion in the collective dialogue.
“Al-Shazli” confirmed that the Ministry of Youth and Sports threatened the Al-Ahly club with the community after the completion of the drafting of the sports law, and it protected the drafting of the data issued by some of the clubs.
And the official spokesman was dismissed that one of the clubs sent to the presidency of the ministry to obtain a copy of the new sports law and there was opposition to the protocol because it issued a statement for public opinion before receiving the speech to the ministry.
“Al-Shazli” explained, if the 1200 people were asked, then this is a difficult situation, and we assume that the ministry agreed with Al-Ahli or the Clubs, all of them to cancel the 8-year clause, and then the House of Representatives rejected it, will it be for Al-Ahli or any party?
The ministry confirmed that there is no right for any council to work voluntarily, but it requires work for a certain period of time.
