After the opening of several development projects in the east and west of Port Said, as part of his tour today in the economic region of the Suez Canal, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, said in a televised statement: “At the end of today’s tour in the region of East and West Port Said, I sat down with my colleagues, Mr. General Engineer Kamel Al-Wizer, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, Minister of Industry and Transport, and Dr. Sharif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, and Mr. Asama Rabie, Head of the Channel Authority. Al-Suwais, Waleed Jamal Al-Din, President of the General Authority of the Economic Zone of the Al-Suwais Channel, with a large number of officials, expressed his pleasure to see the fruits of the efforts and efforts that the Egyptian state has made over the past ten years.
In this context, Dr. Mustafa Madbouli confirmed that we always speak clearly with the citizens, we always talk about the importance of using the Suez Canal passage, this is an important navigational passage, and that we should not be satisfied with getting the tolls for the passage of ships, and when will we see real development in the areas around the Suez Canal? It is the insistence of the political leadership, represented by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the President of the Republic, who sought to translate these ideas and those plans that we had for 30 years or more into reality on the ground in a reasonable period of time, and the state worked with all its apparatuses on this file, and this effort is not only in the economic area, but it is an integrated system carried out by all state apparatuses, and the most important partnership with the private sector to see the volume of development that we do not see today.
Dr. Mustafa Madbouli added: Today we only see the northern part of the axis of the Suez Canal, east and west of Port Said, and we must take into account that part of the development also includes the port of Al-Arish, the passage of the Upper Ismailia, and the south in the area of Al-Sakhna with the port of Al-Sakhna, and the beginning was directed by the president’s honor to witness the enormous expansion.
In this context, the Prime Minister pointed out that this file was implemented by relevant parties such as: the Ministry of Transport, the Indian Transport Authority for the Armed Forces, the Economic Zone of the Suez Canal, and the Authority for the Suez Canal, and today we see long-term plans to be completed in this way to meet the needs of Egypt for the next thirty or forty years, explaining the comparison; Since the beginning of this effort in 10 years, the volume of the completion was not less than 10% of what we see today, referring to the effort and the size of the development and the implemented projects, and this is the basis of the empowerment of this region, and this is what Walid Jamal al-Din pointed out, when he explained that this year we are reaping the fruits of the effort and the work done over the past ten years.
As the Prime Minister confirmed that all this achievement was followed up daily and weekly by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, the President of the Republic, with the government and all the state agencies concerned with the implementation of this huge achievement, and it still represents the first stage of the integrated vision of the development process, expressing his happiness by starting the tour today in the area of East Port Said located in Sinai, this precious place for all Egyptians, and seeing this huge achievement and the size of its large development, then moving to West Port Said, and we It represents only the first stage of the development of the Port of West Port, which is regularly monitored by the President of the Republic, confirming that with the completion of the development process, the Port of West Port will be fully developed, and it is one of the oldest ports in Egypt, which is about 150 years old.
As Dr. Mustafa Madbouli pointed out, the complete development and modernization of the roads and infrastructure, data centers, and logistics services from electricity, water, and infrastructure, in addition to the major projects that are being implemented on this land, such as the project of the dam complex and the demolition and renovation of the old dams, and the addition of new dams with a storage capacity of 100 thousand tons, in addition to the liquid and dry sewage projects, confirming that all these development projects are integrated to benefit بيناسم الممر الملاحي الهم جدً وحم كنة للاسعاء للا للامنه وثيقامة على جانبيستية على جانبيستيا واليوم الممرا من هذا حلم قد تحقيقة.
He added: If it wasn’t for the political leadership willing to implement this project and the continuous follow-up, we wouldn’t be able to see it today, confirming that during the next period we will speed up the reception and implementation of other projects from the special sector; Whether it’s Egyptian or foreign, it doesn’t represent real success for all efforts, and it’s the most important thing among large investments in infrastructure, and it’s the result of the investments; Whether local or foreign, for investment in Egypt, and for the development of projects on the land of Egypt, the operation of Egyptian labor, and the export and importation and the dollar invoice.
