Queen Rania Al-Abdullah expressed her great admiration for the opening ceremony of the Great Egyptian Museum, which took place on Saturday, November 1 in Cairo, accompanied by the magnificent atmosphere that embodied the Egyptian civilization and its history spanning thousands of years.

She posted her message on Sabah Sunday through her official account on the “Instagram” platform, in which she expressed her gratitude to the Egyptian president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and the lady Intissar al-Sisi for the reception she received and the princess Salma bint Abdullah Al-Thani.

Her words came at the same time as a wave of positive interaction on social networking sites that conveyed her presence to the dignitaries participating in this huge cultural event.

Queen Rania appeared during the ceremony in an elegant dress designed by the Italian “Dolce & Gabbana” designer, with a red, organza fabric design and detailed details on the waist.

He took with him a white bag from “Boutique Finita” from the “Knot Intrecciato” style, which he had previously worn on previous official occasions, as well as shiny white shoes from “Christian Louboutin”.

He greeted the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and his wife, Mrs. Intissar al-Sisi, Queen Rania Al-Abdullah accompanied by Princess Peace, upon their arrival at the opening ceremony of the Great Egyptian Museum in Cairo, in an official moment that reflected the spirit of cooperation and respect between Jordan and Egypt.

The Queen and the Princess took part in a tour of the museum facilities, learning about the most prominent exhibits, including the collection of Amun’s tusks, which includes approximately 5,000 pieces on display for the first time, the statue of Ramses II made of granite weighing 83 tons, and King Khufu’s solar boats, along with many pieces that have been recently restored, in the largest archaeological museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization, which includes integrated educational and cultural facilities.

She shared her majesty’s responsibility for the King of Jordan, King Abdullah II, accompanied by Her Highness Princess Peace, at the official opening held in Al-Jiza, in the presence of leaders and officials from more than 79 countries around the world. They were welcomed by the Egyptian President Abdel-Alftah al-Sisi and his wife Mrs. Intissar al-Sisi, where they exchanged greetings in an official atmosphere reflecting the depth of the brotherly relations between the Kingdoms of Jordan and Egypt.

The ceremony included official speeches, musical and audio-visual performances, showing the historical journey of Egypt from the Pharaonic civilization to the modern era, as well as showing excerpts from the construction stages of the museum, which is considered the largest archaeological museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization.

Her majesty, Queen Rania and Princess Peace, waited in the museum’s hall after the opening ceremony, during which they viewed a number of the new halls that contain rare antiquities, the most prominent of which is the collection of King Tut Amun, which is on full display for the first time, as well as the statue of King Ramses the Second, made of red granite weighing 83 tons.

The Egyptian Museum is one of the largest cultural projects in the region, as it began construction in 2002 and completed in 2023. It is a comprehensive community that includes a children’s museum, a three-dimensional theater, a conference center, renovation laboratories, and service and commercial areas. It is scheduled to open its doors officially to the public on the 4th of November.
