Netflix’s terrifying new thriller that has viewers ‘screaming’ achieves huge record

Don’t Move was released on Netflix on October 25 and has already achieved a massive feat just five days after releasing on the streaming platform

Following its release on Netflix on October 25, the brand new thriller film Don’t Move has received plenty of praise from critics and audiences and has now hit a huge record.

It’s become a global hit within five days of its release and has ranked as the number one most-watched movie on Netflix’s global top ten films for the week.

It has had 20.2 million views and 31 million hours watched, beating other titles such as Sweet Bobby: My Catfish Nightmare and The Menendez Brothers to the top spot.

The film follows a woman being pursued by a serial killer as she attempts to get away from him at all costs.

Despite initially escaping, she learns he’s injected her with a paralytic agent, giving her only twenty minutes to escape before her body completely shuts down.

The film features Kelsey Asbille as Iris, Finn Witrock as Richard, Moray Treadwell as Bill and Daniel Francis as Dontrell, the police officer.

It’s been directed by duo Adam Schindler and Brian Netto and produced by none other than Spider-Man director Sam Raimi.

It currently has a 71% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with many critics posting their reviews on the website.

One person expressed: “This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Some great plot twists and great characters. The actors did an excellent job! You will be glad you watched this suspenseful thriller.”

Another commented: “It’s easy to see why it’s captivated audiences and claimed the #1 spot in Greece—the suspense, the depth, and the meticulous storytelling are simply masterful.”

Somebody else gushed: “Highly entertaining, good premise, good acting, tense and suspenseful from beginning to end.”

Yet another wrote: “Straight to the point, not a lot of fluff with the backstory, reiterates that you shouldn’t trust anyone.”

Clearly impressed with Kelsey’s acting, a passionate fan added: “Kelsey makes this movie so great and it shows her acting skills because for most of it she cannot speak much – instead having to use her eyes and expressions and the vague motions she can to help express what she is feeling.

“She taps into sorrow and helplessness fabulously and the movie is one that keeps you wondering what will happen next even as you watch in shock at every adrenaline passing second you see what the main character endures.

“Again, evidence of the great actress playing her part to perfection. I found that the movie is engrossing, and it has so many nuances of the human experience in scenarios they might at least expect to find themselves in.”

Taking to Reddit, someone else said: “”Sooo good. Legit got me screaming at the end.”

Don’t Move is streaming on Netflix now.
