The General Authority for Health Care, under the chairmanship of Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, launched the “Choose and Trust” initiative to provide health services to citizens in the vicinity of the 2025 elections, which were held on August 4 and 5 in the governorates implementing the comprehensive health insurance system.
The authority confirmed that the initiative aims to ensure healthy voters and support community participation in the national electoral rights, where 333 mobile medical teams were paid to work as fixed and mobile medical points, providing first aid services, rapid medical examination, and real-time health monitoring for voters throughout the election period, especially for the elderly and those with chronic diseases.
The head of the Health Care Authority confirmed that the level of readiness and readiness within the health facilities of the Authority in the governorates of “Boursaid, Al-Qasr, Ismailia, South Sinai, Aswan, and Switzerland” was raised to secure the election process through 285 centers and family medicine units, in addition to 43 hospitals fully equipped to provide health care around the clock.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki explained that the mobile medical teams are centered in the vicinity and in front of the electoral center to provide medical screening and rapid screening services for voters, in addition to providing first aid and emergency health care for the elderly and those with chronic diseases and first care cases.
Al-Sabki also confirmed that the readiness of the emergency departments inside the hospitals was increased, and the availability of medicines and medical supplies and blood types and their derivatives, in order to ensure the immediate response to any emergency that may occur during the electoral process, and to provide the best levels of medical service to the citizens, emphasizing full coordination with the emergency rooms in all branches of the Authority with the comprehensive insurance portfolios.
Al-Sabki added that the Authority has prepared a comprehensive medical plan to deal with all types of possible injuries, including minor injuries and the most complex emergencies, by supporting the medical team with the necessary equipment, emphasizing full coordination between the emergency rooms in the branches and the Ambulance Service to establish an effective referral system, emphasizing the field follow-up by the Authority’s leaders of health facilities in the governorates participating in medical insurance, to ensure the quality of operation, performance efficiency, and guarantee the rapid response to any emergency situation.
