Sharif Al-Kilani, Deputy Minister of Finance for Tax Policies, confirmed that we are keen to integrate e-commerce more broadly to enhance the diversity of the Egyptian economy, deepen tax and customs regulations, and facilitate the integration of electronic commerce into the official economy.
He added, in an open dialogue with the representatives of the commercial community and the shipping and express shipping companies, we are working on the integration between the electronic commerce unit with taxes and customs; to strengthen governance and guarantee fair competition, since the electronic trading unit is responsible for the confidence level with the business complex, the digital economy is more disciplined and fair.
Al-Kilani pointed out in the statement to the ministry today that digital markets are “effective” worldwide to increase trade with unprecedented ease and speed.
Ahmed Amoy, the head of the Customs Administration, said that e-commerce has become a global question about the challenges related to the regulation of the exchange of goods, explaining that we are intensifying cooperation with the air freight sector to regulate electronic commerce governance.
He added, that we are eager to strengthen the partnership with the private sector and provide logistics services, and we look forward through this dialogue to come up with practical recommendations and effective development proposals that contribute to the strengthening of the electronic commerce system, and to expand cooperation between customs and the logistics sector; במא יקדום משלחם את השעשון וודניקים
Sami Ramadan, deputy head of the customs office, confirmed that the e-commerce sector is one of the drivers of the global economy, and the speedy boot requires more flexible procedures.

Ahmed Al-Asqalani, deputy head of the Customs Department, confirmed that electronic commerce is of increasing importance in supporting the economy, pointing out that government measures contribute to the growth of this sector and its expansion into local and global markets.
He added that electronic commerce is not limited to selling goods only, but also includes the provision of services of various types, which is why the fields are constantly expanding with the rapid digital development.
Dr. Amal Al Jabry, the head of the Electronic Commerce Unit for Customs, pointed out that the unit is working to make electronic commerce inside and outside Egypt easy, simple and safe, so that each party, whether importer or exporter, feels that the procedures are clear and fully compliant with modern electronic commerce standards.
