He was also elected the head of the jury for the Cairo Broadcasting and Television Festival in 1998 and the honorary president of the festival in the year 2001, 2002.

Mahmoud Yasin was elected in 2005 by the United Nations as the ambassador for the fight against poverty and hunger for human activities, to meet the great benevolent artist on October 14, 2020.
