Al-Lwaa Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, the Governor of Assiut, confirmed the continuation of efforts to remove occupations and encroachments from the streets of the city of Abu Tij, as part of the governorate’s plan to regulate traffic and improve the level of services provided to citizens, in accordance with the directives of the political leadership, and within the framework of achieving the goals of sustainable development and Egypt’s vision 2030.

The governor emphasized the necessity of coordination between the various executive authorities, headed by the heads of centers and neighborhoods and responsible for facilities and occupations, to intensify the field campaigns and oblige the owners of the commercial establishments after not exceeding the limits of their establishments, in order to contribute to the limitation of the spread of the violations and the visiting vendors.

The governor explained, that the local unit for the center and city of Aboutij, led by Muhammad Hassan Abd al-Karim, carried out a large-scale campaign to lift the work of the pilgrims and the commercial malls on the public road. The campaign targeted a number of main streets, including Al-Jalaa Square, Abu Saeed Square, and Muhammad Mahmoud Basha Square, using the center’s mechanical pick-up equipment, with the aim of opening the roads to traffic and achieving traffic control.

The governor emphasized on the adoption of legal procedures regarding the offenders, and warning after obstructing the public roads, protecting the city’s civilized appearance, and ensuring that the daily work is carried out in an orderly manner, stressing the importance of firmness in dealing with the offenders in order to achieve discipline and raise the efficiency of the services provided to the citizens.
