EXCLUSIVE: Sol Rodriguez (Peacemaker), Patrick Warburton (Seinfeld), David Koechner (Anchorman) and Kiara Liz (Panama) have started production on New York Rom Coman indie marking the feature writing and directing debut of Brent Webber.
Based on Webber’s time working on Wall Street, the film follows a lawyer in New York City whose life in the rat race collides with love and chaos when he meets Julia (Rodriguez), a passionate Colombian entrepreneur from Queens.
The project is produced by Webber and Pierre Guillet.
Rodriguez is coming off a breakout role in Season 2 of James Gunn’s Peacemakerwhich just recently aired its season finale on HBO Max. She plays Sasha Bordeaux, a cyborg with known ties to Batman in the comics, having previously appeared in Star Trek: PicardFreeform’s Party of Five, Devious Maids and more. She is represented by Innovative Artists and Del Shaw Moonves.
Veteran character actor Warburton’s recent credits include Family Guy, Archer, Unfrostedand The Duel. He is repped by Gersh and manager Ryan Handelsman.
Known for the Anchorman films, The Office and much more, Koechner’s recent credits include American Dad! and The Goldbergs. He is repped by Gersh and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.
Liz is a former Miss Universe Puerto Rico who is coming off a guest role on Law & Order and also appeared in the action film Panama. She is repped by Eris Talent Agency and Alchemy Entertainment.
